Cloudians are fun archetype that I main, but it has been forgotten. So here is me giving my best to make them rogue.
Deck Master: Cloudian - Herald of Ultimateness/Perfection
Time Tearing Morganite - New addition:
As the deck is pretty slow and I don't use handtraps I decided it's a really good idea to put it 3 times which is regular in MD Stun Decks. The double drawing and summoning is golden(Cloudians need to be normal summoned and when they are there has to be another Cloudian on the field to get enough counters to use their effects). Like summon Altus then summon Cirrostratus and it will have 2 Fog Counters. And now you can actually get out Herald of The Arc Light, summoning both orange and green in one turn and as always recycle with Sanctum of Parshath, rinse and repeat.
How to get out Timelord Progenitor Vorpgate(and negate his 2nd effect):
I was looking through Synchro monsters to find something useful as he is a dangerous tool when you negate his 2nd effect, permanently banishing enemy frontrow. You either use Divine Punishment or get him off the board. You can try using Level 12 Synchro, Mannadium Trisukta gives you Herald of Orange Light back so you can do it. For the whole thing you need 2 Cloudians and Herald of Orange Light and optionally Divine Punishment to negate the return. Beware as Infinite Impermanence can troll Progenitor's effect. The good part is Mannadium, Progenitor and Divine Punishment are all recyclable.
Another option is Cupid Pitch, he will be Level 6 when you summon him then combine him with Cloudian. The good thing is here you're not locked to Synchros only this turn so you can Link off Timelord Progenitor Vorpgate with Celestial Knightlord Parshath so he won't return enemy monsters or just negate with Divine Punishment. The bad thing is you need to search both Heralds.
Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid - Upgrade Targets:
Konami has created this thing because probably high Rank Machines have been underused. I use this thing to push the game or if I don't get Cloudian Squall. The even better thing is you can attach any number of materials to it and transfer to the Rank 10/11/12, you just have to destroy a monster and resolve the effect which is not easy in high level of play. The problem is that monster is summoned during Main Phase 2, so it has to have a good non-battle effect and survive the enemy turn. Anyway here are the viable targets:
Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus:
The best upgrade target. If you do it with 5 Cloudians it will have 6 materials and will be a 3.6k boss unaffected by card effects, with Spell Speed 2 shuffle and your opponent will be unable to search cards, otherwise said GG. but even without that the shuffle is very good so he's on the top.
Superdreadnought Railcannon Super Dora -> Superdreadnought Railcannon Juggernaut Liebe:
The other good path, as Super Dora can make itself unaffected and will almost surely survive the turn unless your opponent can swing over 4k Def wall. On the next turn you will likely upgrade it to Juggernaut Liebe and swing into enemy monsters. Divine Punishments as backrow have you covered, don't worry.
Skypalace Gangaridai:
The other kind of viable target but it's a really old monster. Anyways you will pop a card on the field and burn for 1000 damage. The other good thing is the enemy isn't much likely to prioritize it, so you will maybe get another pop nex turn :). I really wish you could overlay it into CXyz Skypalace Babylon as that target get my lowest rating and it looks the coolest, personally to me.
Number C9: Chaos Dyson Sphere:
My old time favorite most notable for it's ability to eat monsters and burn for a bit of damage, if you actually protect it it can get troublesome for your opponent pretty fast. You can get problematic monsters out of the way with it's effect and it looks really cool :P.
The point of this Hard Lockdown Deck is such setup:
Parshath on Extra Monster Zone
Cloudian - Acid Cloud
Cloudian - Cirrostratus
Herald of Mirage Lights / of The Arc Light
Cloudian - Turbulence
Sanctuary in The Sky Field Spell
1-2 Cloudian Squall(one could be enough as Sanctum can recycle Cloudians then you Normal Summon them and they will have some Fog Counters)
Sanctum of Parshath
1-2 Divine Punishment
Here's what usually happens
When you fetch the needed cards you can replace Parshath for Eye of The Typhoon or Nimbusman as beaters.
When you have such setup you can negate anything with Divine Punishment or Herald of Mirage Lights. Sanctum of Parshath lets you recycle the Divine Punishments and the Cloudians you discard to activate Mirage Lights. if Mirage Lights is destroyed by battle which it frequently will be Sanctum can return it to Extra Deck so you can spawn him again with Smoke Balls(generated by the Turbulence you have on the field).
You can also turn your Cloudians to Defense Position in order to destroy them and recycle them with Sanctum. Then you can Normal Summon them again and they will gain some Fog Counters on top of what Squall gives them.
Note: You can't destroy face-down cards with Acid due to Sanctum but you can just attack and negate anything so it doesn't matter.
Features Deck Search aid with Pot of Duality, Zeradias, Parshath, and Gold Sarcophagus(for drawing Cloudian Squall mostly).
Extra Deck:
Celestial Knightlord Parshath - Grade A card in my deck. Costs 3 Smoke Balls. First you fetch Zeradias if Sanctuary in The Sky is not on the field(fetch it and not Sanctuary in order to thin the deck). You should also search for Sanctum of Parshath to enable the negating loop. After that you can fetch either Divine Punishment or any Cloudian(this is golden).
Herald of Mirage Lights - Very Good card in my Deck. I used to run test build with Herald of Ultimateness in my Deck(To get opponent into 100% Lockdown). It was too slow so I thought this could help. It helps with Counters that could disrupt Cloudians extending the 3 Divine Punishments I have. You can use the Ship and its derivatives to protect it. If they attack it then activate their cards undisrupted by Mirage the Ship will hit them for a lot of damage. If they don't attack that way you will have additional line of negates with Mirage.
Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid: Alternative win-path. Use 2 or more Cloudians. Summoning this could be overextending, so beware!
Number C9: Chaos Dyson Sphere: This thing can lunch with your opponents' monsters especially if they are unprepared. It will also burn becoming a ticking time-bomb and don't forget you don't have to eat the monster, you can just hit it with 3600 ATK.
Superdreadnought Railcannon Juggernaut Liebe: The king of caveman era game. It relies on brute attack force but Nimbusman does that 3 times better. You could use it if something happens to your Rank 10 tho or you want materials for Zeus.
Divine Arsenal AA-Zeus - Sky Thunder - This is a bomb card in other decks but I personally don't use him in mine. I like sitting on control and such board wipes make me think what if opponent comes back somehow and I screw up, I'll be shamed. Of course climb through xyzes 27 -> rank 10 -> jug liebe -> zeus so that he has materials. You could try swapping him out for his cousin TY-PHON I don't because Zeus feels like final boss and I feel a void without hi in my Extra.
Timelord Progenitor Vulgate - I found a really OP trick with this card. His effect reads when it battles at end of Damage Step banish all opponent's monsters and at End Phase return them to the field. You can negate his second effect with Divine or Arc to make opponent's whole front row STAY IN BANISHMENT. Rinse and Repeat because you can recycle Orange to make Arc and also recycle Divine Punishments.
Side Deck:
Lava Golem - fun way to get rid of opponent's monsters. It's 100% sure opponent will link it away or tribute it so don't expect it to stay there and burn them as it's also useless vs Cloudians, but yeah the damage is have been already done which is tributing their monsters. You could try Volcanic Queen or Ra Sphere Mode if you're up to it.
Additional Altus - For Exodia matchups🤣
Mother Grizzly - Crash it into opponent monster to search a Cloudian. OG tech!
Final Attack Orders is against effects that turn Cloudians to Defense position causing them to self-destruct.
Lyrilusc - Ensemblue Nightingale can negate Special Summons but pretty much the only use case is if you get Turbulence and Aerosol at start to block opponent's first moves.
