The Mikankos' reflect party!

Reflected Damage/Goad deck for Domain Format, a casual multiplayer free-for-all format inspired by MTG Commander format.

Using Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko as the Deck Master gives me access to any FIRE, Warrior or Mikanko monsters.

The main goal of this deck is to control the Battle Phases with any Reflecting Damage monster with protection to battle/effect destruction and a battle interceptor card. After this setup, you can start to burn your opponent's LP attacking his monsters or forcing 'em to attack you.

Key concepts/keywords:

• Reflecting damage card: Any card that can redirect battle damage to your opponent. For example: Amazoness Swords Woman.
• Battle interceptor card: Any card that can redirect an attack to certain monster on the field. For example: Ring of Magnetism.
• Goading card: Any card that forces your opponent's monsters to attack if able. For example: Savage Colosseum.
• Double Damage card: Any card that doubles the damage you can reflect, whether you double the monster ATK/DEF or the damage itself. For example: Massivemorph or Action Magic - Full Turn.

Let's break this list apart to help you understand the main role of certain cards:

• Mikanko cards package: 10 S/T cards that works wonders to reach our endboard.
  • Equip Spells:
    
    • Mikanko Water Arabesque: With this you only need a battle interceptor to finish your setup. Trade any monster for any non-ritual Mikanko monster from your deck. Awesome card in the early game.
    • Mikanko Fire Dance: Again, you only need a battle interceptor to finish your setup. Get any Mikanko monster from your GY and revive an opponent's monster. If you can, save this card for a recovery if you eat a board wipe.
    • Mikanko Purification Dance: This card is an easy setup with your Deck Master but is most often used to control your opponent's combo or extenders.
    • Mikanko Dance - Mayowashidori: Your ultimate recovery card, also is a great card to control the board with our attacks. Play this when you can protect it if you want to get the most of it. Pair with your Deck Master to nullify the drawback.
  • Traps: 
    • Mikanko Promise: Use this card after a board wipe if you still have a Mikanko monster in your deck. Also, you can save it for a Pot of Avarice or Jar of Avarice follow-up.
    • Mikanko Rivalry: Works like a second Armory Call. Also can recover an Equip Spell from your GY.
    • Mikanko Spiritwalk: Works like a second Cross Over for Mikanko monters. Also can recover a banished Mikanko monster.
  • Mikanko Kagura: Non-target destruction equal to the number of equip spells in your GY.
  • The Great Mikanko Ceremony: Special Summon ANY Mikanko monster, pair with Ohime the Manifested Mikanko to recycle any Equip Spell from your GY. Also you can send a Mikanko card from your deck to the GY.
• Reflecting damage cards package: 
  • Monsters: 
    • Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko: Needs to be equipped to be a permanent reflector. Search any Mikanko Equip Spell when becomes equipped. 
    • Ni-Ni the Mirror Mikanko: Needs to be equipped to be a permanent reflector. Also it's a quick Change of Heart on your opponent's turn.
    • Hu-Li the Jewel Mikanko: Needs to be equipped to be a permanent reflector. Search any Mikanko Trap when becomes equipped. Also gives target protection to all Mikanko cards.
    • Ohime the Manifested Mikanko: Permanent reflector. Also it's a quick recycle for any Equip Spell from your GY.
    • Arahime the Manifested Mikanko: Permanent reflector. Also you can bounce any monster on the field during the End Phase.
    • Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko: Permanent reflector. Double attack and can search any Equip Spell from your Deck or GY. 
    • Amazoness Swords Woman: One-time reflector. Give it any form battle protection if you want to get the most of it.
  • Spells:
    • Dark Sanctuary: It's a 50/50 half reflect. It's effect applies to ANY attack.
  • Traps:
    • Dimension Wall: Conditional reflector.
    • Magic Cylinder: Conditional reflector. Old but gold :D
    • Dimension Sphinx: Conditional reflector.
• Kaiju-like removal package: Get rid of any problematic card(s) on the board and get a big body on your opponent's field for reflecting damage.

  • Continuous effect:
    • Savage Colosseum: Board goad.
    • Yang Zing Unleashed: Board goad.
    • Battlin' Boxer Cheat Commissioner: Board goad.
  • Conditional effect: 
    • All-Out Attacks: Goad any special summoned monster of the current player's turn.
    • Heavenly Gate of the Mikanko (also a Battle Interceptor card): Continuous Board goad if you control an equipped monster.

Key interactions:

• Board goad + Battle interceptor: Your opponents can only attack you and nobody else.
• If both players are going to take battle damage and you control a reflecting damage monster, your opponent takes double damage.
• Damage can only be halved once and damage can only be doubled once.

Notable Combos/Synergies:

• Ni-Ni the Mirror Mikanko + Mikanko Purification Dance: Take control of an opponent's monster, then, if your opponent special summons another one, bounce both cards.
• Double-Edged Sword + any reflecting damage monster: Equip it to your opponent's monster and attack it with your monster. The equipped monster's controller will take this battle damage plus reflect damage. Any other opponent will take this battle damage too.
  • Any opponent's monster with 2k+ ATK + any equipped Mikanko it's lethal for your opponent and minus 4k+ LP for any other opponents.
• Massivemorph + any reflecting damage card: Use it for doubling your reflect damage.
  • Add this to the previous combo and, in the best scenario, you will take out the board!
• Dark Sanctuary + any goad card: 50% chances to inflict damage equal to half attacking monster's ATK to his controller.
• Any reflecting damage monster + any battle protection card + any battle interceptor card: Somehow you have achieved peace on the board. Your monster is the only valid attack target and any battle with it is going to hurt them.
  
  • But... PEACE WAS NEVER AN OPTION! Add any goad card and watch 'em burn!
• Kaiju-like monster + Mikanko Water Arabesque: Get rid of a problematic monster then equip it. Bounce your Kaiju to special summon a Mikanko monster from your deck and equip it.
• Hu-Li the Jewel Mikanko and Metalsilver Armor: No more single targeting on the board.
• Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko equipped with Infernoble Knight Oliver and Metalsilver Armor: No more single targeting on the board.
  
  • The board wipes are coming, be careful! Add almost any Mikanko equip card to make it harder to deal with this lock.

Notable techs:

• Maugis, Ogier and Oliver: This trio is awesome, they can equip from the GY to our Deck Master or Amazoness Swords Woman and give the equipped monster battle, card destruction and target protection respectively.
  • This cards are our best bet for recovery plays and great fodder for Ohime the Manifested Mikanko discard effect.
• Infernoble Knight - Roland: 
• Mikanko Divine Dance - Futahashira no Uzu no Miko, Painful Choice and Foolish Burial: OUR BEST OPENING. Allows to setup the GY with any of the Infernoble trio, Arahime the Manifested Mikanko and/or Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee.
• Tool Box: The best card to search Equip Spells, try to grab non-Mikanko Equip Spells and use Ha-Re for the rest.
• Gearbreed: Great recovery for the mid/late game.
• Cross Over: Get rid of any problematic card on the board and enable our Deck Master reflection.
• Courageous Crimson Chevalier Bradamante: Faster Armory Call for your Deck Master or Amazoness Swords Woman.
• Defense Zone: Use your monsters to protect your equip spells. Great card on the early game.
• Metalsilver Armor: Force your opponents to only target the equipped monster with S/T cards.
• Vylon Matter: Mini Jar of Avarice for Equip Spells and non-target destruction.

Cards for further testing:

• More helpful Equip Spells: Angelica's Angelic Ring 
• Equip Spells support: Horn of Olifant, Arms Regeneration and Immortal Phoenix Gearfried 
• Field Spells support: Set Rotation and Terraforming
• Helpful Extra Deck monsters:
  • The Claw of Hermos with Rocket Hermos Cannon and Goddess Bow
• GY recovery: The Legend of Tickets, Fire Recovery and Oil
  • Jar of Avarice with The Legend of Tickets is an infinte deck loop.
• Infernoble Knight Turpin to enable synchro plays.
• Backrow removal: Hey, Trunade! or... Heavy Storm D:
• Damage boosters: Succumbing-Song Morganite, Life Hack and Spikeshield with Chain 
• Currently testing swaping between Dimension Sphinx and All-Out Attacks to check which one is more useful.

Budget replacements:

• Dimension Wall it's a really old card. Zoma the Spirit and Battleguard Howling are decents replacements if you can't find it.
• Lightning Storm can be replaced with Lightning Vortex or Hey, Trunade!.
• Pot of Prosperity can be replaced with Pot of Duality.
• S:P Little Knight can be replaced with Ferocious Flame Swordsman.
• Synchros are for Pot of Prosperity, pick the other two targets depending on the board state.
  • I'm near to cut this card, just need to find 4 useful ED monsters.

My 5 cents about the Mikankos' Support for Domain Format:

• Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee: Only special summons from the deck, that's a big downside because you only have two targets for the effect, it's still a decent follow-up after a recovery and it's useful to access your Extra Deck. The bounce it's a nice to have, good way to save an stuck equipment or change the Mikanko Reflection Rondo's target. The equip effect it's also a nice to have, good way to feed a Heavenly Gate of the Mikanko.
• Mikanko Divine Dance - Futahashira no Uzu no Miko: Oh my godness! This card is another Foolish Burial/Foolish Burial Goods and an easy setup for ANY Mikanko S/T. There's even more, you can banish it and detach one material from any Xyz monster to special summon a ritual Mikanko monster.
• Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko: Any useful card from the Extra Deck it's an auto-include. Double attack and Equip Spell search/recovery? YES PLEASE!
