The goal of this deck is to try and keep your opponent off resources, while using the different floaters and draw engines to ramp into a big otk push.
Apprentice Magician floats into a variety of maindeck toolbox monsters, getting you a tuner in Night's End Sorcerer, targeted destruction in Old Vindictive Magician, and draw power in Crystal Seer. It can also grab another copy of itself to thin the deck or load up the grave for Dark Armed Dragon.
Magical Exemplar is the heart of the deck, allowing you to summon Spellcasters from your hand or grave to reuse on summon or soft once per turn effects (Night's End Sorcerer, Kyco the Ghost Destroyer, Apprentice Magician, or Summoner Monk), summon a tuner for Synchro plays, or adjust your grave to help summon Dark Armed Dragon.
Mystic Tomato can you get into the Apprentice Magician engine, get you a level 2 or 3 tuner (Night's End Sorcerer, or Gale the Wirlwind), or get you Summoner Monk or Sangan.
Summoner Monk can get you Magical Exemplar, Breaker the Magical Warrior for targeted backrow removal, Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer to clear your opponent's grave, or Flamvell Magician to make a level 8 Synchro
To enable both Magical Exemplar and Summoner Monk, we're running an extensive spell line-up.
Brain Control, Mind Control, and Enemy Controller steal your opponent's monsters to clear their field or use as material.
Allure of Darkness, Upstart Goblin, and Foolish Burial let you dig deeper into your deck or find the cards you need.
Heavy Storm, Lightning Vortex, and Mystical Space Typhoon to clear your opponent's field.
Book of Moon and Shrink both fill double rolls: Shrink as a battle trick to survive or beat over your opponent's monsters, or to protect your summons from cards like Bottomless Trap Hole. Book of Moon to block your opponent from Synchro summoning or attacking into your key monsters, as well as reseting your own flip monsters.
