If you do not think about the number of bricks that you have to play in your Deck, Scrap is a pretty good engine for many things machine-related. And, the archetype has a Level 9 monster in Scrap Twin Dragon, which I have already experimented on before, and while that Deck was atrocious, it doesn’t discredit using Scrap as an engine in Prediction Princess. If we look at the shortcomings of my previous Scrap Prediction Princess Deck, we see a couple of issues. First, the Deck was limited by the fact that we were focusing on Synchro Summoning multiple copies of Scrap Twin Dragon in addition to a Cloudcastle. Cloudcastle is a good card, but Scrap Twin Dragon, for the purposes that we used it for, was not. Second, the Deck’s main combo used what was pretty much a 4-card combo of Scrap Raptor, Scrap Factory, an extender, and a Prediction Princess card. While Scrap Raptor is very searchable, Scrap Factory isn’t because the Deck intended to try to hard-open it. Also, needing an extender and a Prediction Princess card in hand isn’t too much to ask for, but considering that you need to open them in addition to 2 other somewhat specific cards, the Deck falters in being able to actually open combo. So how do we improve Scrap Prediction Princess? First of all, we are obviously throwing out Twin Dragon because it does functionally nothing for us. We could literally focus on any other Level 9 in the game that we can actually make in this Deck, say Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment or still even Cloudcastle. Second, we are going to make use of one of Scrap’s other biggest contributions to the game: Scrap Recycler. Sure, it does mean that we are playing some bricks for it to send, but I like to think of it as basically a Girsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight adjacent card in terms of the role it plays. Furthermore, we can play better extenders. In my previous list, I played Kashtira Fenrir and Ready Fusion and Instant Fusion as extenders. While Fenrir is good, Kashtira Unicorn search Kashtira Birth is also incredible, considering that Fusion Trishula is an option. With Scrap as an engine, I came up with 2 pretty different Prediction Princess Decks: this list focuses on using Scrap Recycler and the Scrap engine as an alternative to Girsu and the World Legacy engine, but I have another list that maximizes using Scrap Raptor as an enabler for a more traditional Scrap engine and Scrap combo that goes through Scrap Wyvern and Scrap Golem. While I personally find that the more traditional use of the Scrap engine produces a more consistent but just as strong Deck, I think that both are unique and good in their own merit.
For our combo, we are going to need Scrap Recycler and an extender. Let’s say that our extender is Kashtira Unicorn. With our field empty, we can Special Summon Unicorn from hand. Activate Unicorn’s effect to add Kashtira Birth from Deck to hand. Now, you can either keep Birth in hand for discard fodder, but the better use case for it is activating it so that we can use its reborn effect later during this turn. Normal Summon Recycler and activate its effect on Normal Summon, which sends Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion from Deck to GY. Activate O-Lion's’s effect in GY, to Special Summon a 0/0 Machine-type Token. Link Scrap Recycler into Clockwork Knight. Activate Clockwork Knight’s effect targeting Scrap Recycler in GY in order to Tribute the Token and Special Summon Recycler from GY in Defense. Scrap Recycler triggers on Special Summon to send World Legacy - “World Armor” from Deck to GY. Link Clockwork Knight and Recycler into Lib the World Key Blademaster. Activate Lib’s effect to set World Legacy Succession from Deck. Activate Succession targeting World Armor in GY to Special Summon it to Linkpoint. World Armor’s effect on Special Summon triggers which adds World Legacy Monstrosity from Deck to hand. Banish Unicorn, Lib, and World Armor in order to Special Summon Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment from Extra Deck. Activate Monstrosity targeting Trishula in order to Special Summon Prediction Princess Bibliomuse and Enneacraft - Astay.PIXIEA from Deck. Xyz PIXIEA and Trishula into Mereologic Aggregator which sends Herald of the Arc Light from Extra Deck to the GY. Herald triggers in GY to add Prediction Princess Tarotrei from Deck to hand. Activate Aggregator’s other effect, targeting Herald in GY, detaching 1 material, and attaching Herald from GY to it. Activate Birth’s effect to Special Summon your banished Unicorn back to the field. Link Aggregator and Unicorn into I:P Masquerena. Herald triggers off of being sent to GY again which adds Underworld Ritual of Prediction from Deck to hand. Activate Underworld Ritual to Ritual Summon Tarotrei by tributing Bibliomuse. Bibliomuse triggers in GY off of being tributed in order to Special Summon herself back face-down. Activate Tarotrei’s effect targeting Bibliomuse to flip it face-up, which triggers its Flip Effect to add Prediction Princess Tarotreith and another Underworld Ritual from Deck. Activate Underworld Ritual tributing Bibliomuse to Ritual Summon Tarotreith face-down. During your End Phase, activate Tarotrei’s effect in order to Special Summon PIXIEA back from the GY face-down. During your opponent’s turn, you can banish Underworld Ritual from GY to Special Summon a Bibliomuse from Deck face-down and chain Tarotrei’s effect targeting your face-down Tarotreith to flip it face-up. On a new chain, Tarotreith’s Flip Effect triggers to Special Summon a Deus-X Krawler from Deck face-down. On another new chain, you can then Quick Effect activate Tarotreith’s other effect to flip Bibliomuse, Deus-X, and PIXIEA face-up. Bibliomuse’s Flip Effect searches a Prediction Princess monster and a Ritual Spell for follow-up and she provides your Ritual Monsters targeting and destruction protection from your opponent’s card effects. Deus-X, after it is flipped face-up, negates all activated monster effects on your opponent’s side of the field. PIXIEA, after it is flipped face-up, prevents your opponent from targeting cards on the field or in either GY with card effects. Furthermore, you still have Birth on field, so you can bring back Unicorn from GY next turn or Normal Summon another Kashtira without tributing to help clear the board.
For the Main Deck Monsters: 3 Prediction Princess Tarotrei, 1 Prediction Princess Tarotreith, and 3 Prediction Princess Bibliomuse. Tarotrei can Quick Effect flip a monster on field face-up or face-down and she can Special Summon a Flip Monster from hand or GY face-down during your End Phase. Tarotreith must either be Ritual Summoned or Special Summoned via Tarotrei's effect in the End Phase. Her Flip Effect Special Summons a Flip Monster from your Deck face-down and she can also Quick Effect flip any number of your monsters face-up or face-down. Bibliomuse can Special Summon herself back face-down after being Tributed and sent there. Her Flip Effect adds a Prediction Princess monster other than herself and a Ritual Spell from Deck to hand and while she is face-up on the field, your Ritual Monsters gain targeting and destruction protection from your opponent’s card effects. 1 Deus-X Krawler which negates all activated monster effects on your opponent's side of the field after it has been flipped face-up and if it is destroyed on field, you can search for a Level 9 monster with a different Type and Attribute. 1 Enneacraft - Astay.PIXIEA which can, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a card(s) you control, flip itself face-up as part of this effect’s activation in order to negate that effect and then allow you to banish a random card out of your opponent’s hand face-down. Also, after it has been flipped face-up, your opponent cannot target cards on either field or in either GY with card effects. 3 Kashtira Unicorn and 3 Kashtira Fenrir. Both can Special Summon themselves from hand if you control no monsters. During your Main Phase, Unicorn can add a Kashtira Spell from Deck to hand while Fenrir can add a monster from Deck to hand. When Unicorn declares an attack of if your opponent activates a monster effect, you can look at your opponent’s Extra Deck and banish a monster from it face-down while Fenrir can target a face-up card your opponent controls and banish that card. I was considering playing either 2 Unicorn and 2 Fenrir or 3 Unicorn and 1 Fenrir, but I settled on 3 Unicorn and 2 Fenrir specifically because I don’t want to play Ready Fusion. Extenders are nice, but the Kashtira monsters, especially Unicorn, act as extenders and also do much more for you as well. 1 World Legacy - “World Armor”. This just adds a World Legacy card from Deck to hand on Normal or Special Summon. This card is a hard-brick in the Deck, and you really do not want to draw it. This could be remedied by playing Jet Synchron over O-Lion, but that still requires you to not draw the Jet Synchron as it is also a hard-brick. 3 Scrap Raptor which can target a monster you control and destroy it in order to give yourself an additional Normal Summon of a Scrap monster during your Main Phase this turn. Also, when Scrap Raptor itself is destroyed by the effect of a Scrap card and sent to the GY, you can add a non-Tuner Scrap monster from your Deck to your hand. Scrap Raptor in this Deck just acts as 3 more copies of Scrap Recycler, which is what you are always getting off of this card. 3 Scrap Recycler which sends a machine monster from Deck to GY when it is Normal or Special Summoned. This card can miss timing, but with how we are using this card, that is not an issue as it is never going to come up. 1 Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion. People play Crystron Rosenix because you can banish it from GY to produce a machine-type Token. But, Rosenix prevents you from being able to Tribute that Token. So, you cannot Link off Recycler for Clockwork Knight and then Tribute the Token to bring back Recycler for another send. A machine monster that you can send off of Recycler to basically do the same thing is O-Lion, which can Special Summon a Mecha Phantom Beast Token if it is sent to the GY. The Mecha Phantom Beast Token that O-Lion makes is a 0/0 Machine that can be Tributed, so it works with Clockwork Knight. But O-Lion is still a hard-brick in the Deck nevertheless. Finally, 3 Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and 3 Droll & Lock Bird.
Spell/Traps: 1 World Legacy Succession which targets a monster in your GY and Special Summons it to Linkpoint. 1 World Legacy Monstrosity which can either Special Summon a Level 9 monster from your hand or target a Level 9 monster you control to Special Summon 2 Level 9 monsters from your Deck with a different type and Attribute, but with different names. 2 Pressured Planet Wraitsoth. On activation, you can add a Kashtira monster from Deck to hand. Also, it pumps monsters you control by 100 ATK/DEF for each different Attribute on the field. Hey, Unicorn is a great card and this Deck really does want to see it. 1 Kashtira Birth. It allows you to Normal Summon Level 7 monsters without Tributing and during your Main Phase, you can Special Summon a non-Xyz Kashtira monster that is banished or in your GY. Also, if your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card or effect while you control a Kashtira monster, you can target and banish 3 cards from your opponent’s GY face-down. 3 Scrapyard. This card adds a Scrap Tuner from Deck to hand, which adds Scrap Raptor. Notably, you can also play 3 Fossil Dig to have 9 copies of Scrap Raptor total in the Deck or 12 copies of Scrap Recycler in the Deck. But, I elected not to play the Fossil Digs because through testing, this is what I found to be the optimal ratio of cards to open access to Recycler in addition to an extender frequently enough. 1 Instant Fusion for Master of Ham. This technically also counts as an extender, but Master of Ham can Special Summon a Flip Monster from Deck face-down when it is Fusion Summoned. So, if you do use Instant Fusion as your extender, you have Master of Ham as the additional body you need on field with a face-down Enneacraft - Astay.PIXIEA as possible protection from targeting handtraps. 1 Pot of Prosperity. 3 Underworld Ritual of Prediction which can Ritual Summon a Prediction Princess Ritual Monster from hand or GY face-up or face-down and you can banish it from GY during the Standby Phase to Special Summon a non-Ritual Prediction Princess monster from Deck face-down. 3 Infinite Impermanence. 1 World Legacy Pawns as an alternative World Legacy card to either search with World Armor or to set off of Lib depending on how we open.
Extra Deck: 1 Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment. 1 Master of Ham which Special Summons a Flip Monster from hand or Deck face-down on Special Summon. 1 Elder Entity N’tss which can target and destroy a card on field if sent to the GY. 1 Herald of the Arc Light which adds a Ritual Monster or Ritual Spell from Deck to hand when it is sent to GY. 1 Super Starslayer TY-PHON - Sky Crisis. 2 Mereologic Aggregator. 1 Laevateinn, Generaider Boss of Shadows and 1 Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity. 1 Dyna Mondo. 1 S:P Little Knight and 1 I:P Masquerena. 1 Lib the World Key Blademaster who can only be Link Summoned while you have a World Legacy card in your GY. She can set a World Legacy Spell/Trap from Deck, but it cannot be activated this turn unless you have a World Legacy monster in your GY and if it is sent to GY because it was used as Link Material, you can shuffle a card on field into the Deck. 1 Clockwork Knight which is a LINK-1 that requires a non-Link Machine with 1000 or less original ATK. The only one of its effects that we are using is its second effect which targets a Machine monster with 1000 or less ATK in GY in order to Tribute a Machine monster other than itself in order to Special Summon the targeted monster back in Defense Position. 1 Gravity Controller.
Side Deck: 3 Mulcharmy Fuwalos, 3 Mulcharmy Purulia, 1 Triple Tactics Talent, 2 Triple Tactics Thrust, 1 Harpie’s Feather Duster, 2 Dark Ruler No More, and 3 Evenly Matched.
