I can't afford Bystials anyways (3 Lubellion alone doubles the price of this deck) but the advent of Lady's Dragonmaid pretty much singlehandedly makes pure Dragonmaid actually viable because of how easier she makes it to summon House and Sheou repeatedly. Taking out Bystials also makes the deck more fun in my opinion because you can get a lot more creative with the rest of the deck instead of just using Bystials as a necessary crutch like they are in Master Duel. You can always throw in a Magnamhut if you want to though can never go wrong with him at least. Branded Regained can also be useful even with no Bystials because of how it can create a free summoning loop with your End Dragons where they can special summon themselves by banishing Khaos who will then immediately go back into the extra deck where he can be fusion summoned for his effect with the two End Dragons while also letting you get a free draw. There's also tons of room for hand traps and you can use any of them of your choosing this isn't a concrete list it is meant to be adaptable.
Striker Dragon can end up being very useful as a back up/defensive play to trigger the effect of a set Tidying and send a powerful monster away but can definitely be swapped out of the extra deck for Borreload Furious if you want more power and/or another Lv 8 fusion monster to banish to trigger the effects of either End Dragon. Or just throw in an S:P Little Knight if you can afford it and want all the benefits she provides instead.
On the topic of Tidying, while you will mainly use it and get the most value out of it with it's GY effect, If timed properly it can be absolutely devastating for an opponent as on an on field trap especially if their strategy/deck revolves around summoning a single big boss monster from the extra deck that takes prep. To get the most out of the on field effect, make sure you wait to use it until the very end of your opponent's combo to return the biggest extra deck monster possible. A lot of decks can play through it if you activate it too early and you definitely always want it to be one of their extra deck monsters that you get rid of. If done properly and you get a decent draw on your turn this can be a lifesaver especially because it is literally only played in Dragonmaid decks so a surprising number of players either haven't seen it before or if they have, they tend to focus on the GY effect more than the on field effect.
If you think you're gonna be facing someone who is about to special summon a ton of monsters I definitely recommend using TY-PHON in the extra deck as a safety net just in case you 1. Don't draw Nibiru or think using it might do more harm than good or 2. Open with a suboptimal hand. I prefer decks that aren't "I need a good opening hand or I lose" decks and Dragonmaids can work really well for this because all you need is 1 or 2 good draws to start chaining their effects and once they start they're very hard to stop and can even work through more than 1 negate if you order your effects properly. Dragonmaids in general are also sneakily good at baiting out negates because Parlor and Chamber can both start combos and having one of them negated really isn't a big deal AND if you manage to get your opponent to use their negates on 1 or even both of them and have an End Dragon in hand congratulations you have an easy instant fusion that most hands won't be able to stop unless they have 3 negates minimum. TY-PHON can help immensely with this because at the very least he can buy you some time to get a draw you need. This is especially useful against any other deck that uses high level dragons because 1 well timed Super Poly can pretty much win the game for you if you have it in hand with even a single Maid form Dragonmaid. If you get 2 regular Dragonmaids on the field but their effects get negated and/or you can't get a fusion off then just go straight into link summoning Hieratic Spheres aka ol' reliable. It opens up so many possibilities and it can be a really confounding card that a lot of players don't really know how to play around. Sheou's omni-negate works similarily especially against anyone who neglects reading cards because opponents tend to not fully comprehend that she can negate ANYTHING. Leads to some really funny moments when someone activates an effect to try to break your board and Sheou just crushes all of their hopes and dreams.
The goal with Dragonmaids is and always has been to create an increasingly large snowball effect that can turn into an avalanche and overwhelm opponents very quickly with high attack monsters and especially Sheou's incredibly strong effects. This is what makes Lady's such a gamechanger, she facilitates that goal perfectly and makes it incredibly easy to achieve. Sheou by herself can win games with her omni-negate if set up properly but to really make things go wild you want to have 2 of her or 1 Sheou and 1 House on the board at the same time. If House is in the GY Sheou can use her other effect to special summon her BUT she has to have been fusion summoned first. This leads to one of the most impactful decisions you can make: Do you want to just get Sheou out as quick as possible and be the true ultimate boss monster who carries you to victory OR do you want to fusion summon House first to get her into the GY and try to set up a play to get Sheou on the field after and use her effect to get both her and House on the field at the same time. I used to favor the former but now, especially with the new support, I find myself gravitating towards fusion summoning House first especially because she can work with any Dragonmaid monster OR either of the End Dragons as fusion material to summon Sheou which perfectly sets House up to be special summoned by Sheou. Mix and match how you like and most importantly just play it in the way that you find most fun!
Laundry Dragonmaid is our beloved mascot and you MUST always own at least 1 of her so she can stand on the sidelines and cheer her sisters on.
(Bystials are still VERY powerful with Dragonmaid and if you're playing Master Duel you don't have Cehrmba/Stern, Filia Regis and of course Lady's which makes Bystials essential :( all I want in MD is these three cards and the 1 card combo starters for Evil/Live Twins and I'll be happy)
