DARK-Winged Harpies
There are a few different ways to build Harpies in Edison, but this version has been the strongest for me so far. It's still very much a work in progress, and the side deck is mostly a collection of cards I'm occasionally testing, including a more chainable Spell/Trap package to minimize collateral damage. Even so, the deck has proven to be very powerful, with access to both explosive turns and strong control plays. It can brick occasionally and sometimes gets outpaced by faster decks, but it definitely has the tools to compete.
If you try the deck let me know how it goes, and if you have suggestions just leave a comment. You can also add me on Twitter/X to chat about the deck. My handle is @VeeMerk
- The Harpie package is kept fairly lean, giving you access to all of your key Harpie cards while boosting ATK and supporting a copy of Hysteric Party.
- The Blackwing package acts as a second engine. Special Summoning Sirocco is especially important for loading DARK monsters into the GY for Dark Simorgh while also keeping Icarus Attack live. Gale is also an incredible one-card answer to a wide range of threats.
- Hunter Owl has been one of the biggest surprises. Running three copies has felt fantastic, since having two on the field creates an attack lock while both get to 2000 ATK.
- The real star of the deck, though, is Swallow's Nest. It's live with almost every monster you play and opens up so many lines. That's also why I run two copies each of Raiza and Dark Simorgh. Swallow's Nest lets you special summon into another copy of either monster in a pickle, making the deck far more resilient than it looks at first glance.
