Budget Tenpai Dragon

Tenpai Dragons are one of the more expensive budget meta decks and while there are other Tenpai Dragon Budget decks, they cost more than $100 total, so I wanted to create a Tenpai deck that is cheaper than usual (mainly caused by replacing most of the expensive handtraps), but also still competitively viable at locals (regionals if you can main ash instead of Droll). There is also the banlist from about a month ago (August 2024) and no one has created a budget tenpai deck that accomodates the banlist. There is no Trident Dragon as it would put the deck over budget.

The handtraps I've seen from other decks keep effect veiler, but you can replace and/or move these cards to side deck:

3x Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion

3x Droll & Lock Bird

Replace them with:

3x Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring

3x Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit

3x Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill (optional)

The Ash replacements are more expensive of course, but I wanted the deck to be focused more on people with a slightly tighter budget. While the deck says $60 as of now (10/3/24), I wanted to keep in mind of the taxes and shipping which can cost an extra $10-20. The goal was also to make it less than $75 total.

(No combo tutorial from me cause I do not know how to play the deck and I don't own the deck)

Replaced the pot of duality cause I didn't read the effect that you cannot special summon the turn you activate that card's effect

Got rid of 2x Tenpai Dragon Chundra and 2x Sangen summoning because of banlist on December 9, 2024. I also took out 1x Nibiru, the Primal Being and 1x Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos to add cards that can make the deck more consistent. I ended up deciding to add 3x Burner, Dragon Ruler of Sparks, 3x Draconnection, 2x Tenpai Dragon Genroku, and 1x Tenpai Dragon. Genroku is to replace Chundra because of it's effect to become lvl 4 and a tuner, and the the additional Paidra is suppose to add consistency to get the Sangen cards to get Genroku. These changes made the deck overall more expensive, but it is meant to make the deck still competitively viable even though it is weaker overall.

Update 12/9/2024:

Added 3x Dora Dora and took out 1x Burner, Dragon Ruler of Sparks, 1x Sangen Kaiho, and 2x Upstart Goblin. Reason for these changes is to make deck more consistent with easier access to Chundra and Genroku.
