Link DAD 2020
Deck Primer
Have you got your ultra rare copies of Destiny Draw collecting dust in your binder, dreaming about the glory days? Or maybe you're a new player and missed out on the reign of terror that was the Destiny Hero engine. Well strap in, because this is gonna be a blast from the past!
I won't lie to you, much of this deck's strength comes from leveraging the extremely easy access it has to Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. It's the central play of the deck. We have a ton of chains that can end with positive value leading into a Verte Anaconda to set up your powerhouse boss monster.
Starting the game with any line into a Malicious into the GY gives you easy access to a Link 2 monster. Doing so with Dark Grepher, Armageddon Knight, or a Stratos into D-Draw will leave you with 2 warriors on the field, letting you link into Isolde. This is the best way to start the game, so if you have a line to get to an early Isolde that is where we begin.
Isolde then can grab you any card, generally I go for Disk Commander since he's the monster I'm the least likely to need access to later in the turn. Isolde can then dump ideally 4 equipment to special summon Stratos to then grab another card from the deck. If you've drawn into one of your equipment already, just summon whoever you can instead. Now you're back to 2 monsters and can Link into Verte Anaconda and summon your Dragoon. Isolde also conveniently sets up Divine Sword Phoenix Blade for you to get back and have a free pitch to your Dragoon every turn!
Now, that's the most basic line. If you find a way to get to 4 monsters in play (not too tall an order with all the special summons available to the deck), you can also go into Skull Dread for some extra value and then Link into Anaconda. Skull Dread is also excellent to get into play due to all of the effects we have that want cards in the deck, which he can help fix if we draw too many.
Cross-Sheep can also be accessed before going into Anaconda if you've gone 2nd and have access to Instant Fusion. This also gives an easy way into a Skull Dread link summon.
Doom Lord gives you another D-Draw target as well as a level 3 to find with Isolde. He's also lowkey pretty good on his own, getting around a lot of problematic cards.
