Power: High Rogue (8.1/10) - Fully TCG-legal and still one of the strongest Bakura-style builds in the Link Evolution card pool. It loses the old Beatrice line, but Rusty Bardiche plus Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Launch gives the deck a very real Phantom Knights ceiling while keeping the Burning Abyss graveyard engine intact.
Consistency: Strong. Tour Guide, Scarm, Graff, Cir, Fiendish Rhino Warrior, Cherubini, Dante, Boots, Ancient Cloak, Foolish Burial, Reinforcement of the Army, Allure of Darkness, and Shade Brigandine all help turn small Fiend bodies into graveyard value. Cutting the illegal second Called by the Grave for Rank-Up-Magic Launch lowers protection slightly, but gives the deck a searchable win-condition through Rusty.
Ceiling: High. The deck can build Cherubini into Dante pressure, convert DARK bodies into Rusty Bardiche, set Fog Blade or Rank-Up-Magic Launch, and use Break Sword to climb into Dark Rebellion and then Dark Requiem. Fog Blade, Fire Lake, Farfa, Bagooska, Dark Requiem, Unicorn, and Borrelsword give the deck multiple ways to interrupt, grind, or finish.
Recovery: Excellent. Scarm searches follow-up, Graff and Cir keep BA bodies moving, Dante recycles Burning Abyss cards, Fog Blade revives Phantom Knights, Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots replace themselves from the GY, and Rusty sets up another layer of PK trap pressure. Even after losing Beatrice, the deck is still very hard to exhaust in slower non-meta games.
Going first/second: Flexible, but best going first into graveyard setup plus Fog Blade, Bagooska, Rusty, or Dark Requiem lines. Going second, Farfa, Fire Lake, Break Sword, Unicorn, Borrelsword, and the side deck help crack boards. Side options include Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, Lancea, Twin Twisters, Cosmic Cyclone, Droll, and Pankratops.
Choke points: Stop Tour Guide or Cherubini before the graveyard is loaded, banish Graff/Cir/Dante targets before they resolve, remove Rusty before it sets a Phantom Knights trap, stop Break Sword before it converts into Level 4 bodies, or hold backrow removal for Fog Blade and Rank-Up-Magic Launch. Graveyard hate is the cleanest way to slow the deck down.
Key cards: Tour Guide From the Underworld, Scarm, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, Graff, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, Cir, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, Fiendish Rhino Warrior, Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss, Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss, The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots, The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak, The Phantom Knights of Break Sword, The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche, Phantom Knights' Fog Blade, The Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Launch, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon.
Key combos: Tour Guide summons a BA monster and makes Cherubini or Dante. Cherubini sends Graff, Cir, Farfa, or a Phantom Knight to load the graveyard safely. Boots searches Fog Blade, while Ancient Cloak searches Boots or another Phantom Knight. Rusty sends a Phantom Knight and sets Fog Blade or Rank-Up-Magic Launch. Break Sword can destroy itself, revive two Phantom Knights as Level 4 monsters, make Dark Rebellion, then Rank-Up-Magic Launch turns it into Dark Requiem for monster-effect negation and pressure. Fog Blade revives a Phantom Knight later to restart the engine or make another Xyz/Link push.
