True Draco Control (Extra Zero Festival 2024)

Play this deck in the Extra Zero Festival for 2024! This deck can hold its own when going first or second! The star of this show is Apophis the Swamp Deity who, during either player's main phase, can negate the effects of face-up cards your opponent controls up to the number of other face-up continuous traps you control when it is special summoned. True Dracos plays a lot of continuous traps, so it fits right in as a counter to effect monsters, and it can negate normal spells like Harpie's Feather Duster or Raigeki.

Edit: I removed Statue of Anguish Pattern, Angel Statue - Azurune, and Dreiath III, the True Dracocavalry General for Fiendish Chain, Unending Nightmare, and The Huge Revolution is Over. Statue of Anguish Pattern and Azurune can create strong two-card combos, but they were too inconsistent. Fiendish Chain and Unending Nightmare are better for dealing with the current meta. Unending Nightmare in particular demolishes the popular Horus, Shinning Sarcophagus, and Yubel decks. Dreiath the Third offers great general protection for the True Draco monsters, but he was too passive. I'd rather have The Huge Revolution is Over to counter board breakers.
