The main cast is Anguish that makes every other trap monster summon after it a pop 1, Azurune negates special summons by sending another trap mon, Tiki Soul protects the rest & Tiki Curse helps in battle, Jirai Gumo is a conditional pop 1 by itself, Silhouhatte & Apophis negate monsters, Shapesister is a tuner giving access to synchros, Metamorphortress can convert a spare Red Layer into a 3k beater.
The alternatives include Hamon for a beating, an Eldlich engine, an illusion engine for the thematic-ness, Kiriban & BBS to get her or any other monster, Sanctum protects set backrow on the field, Trap Gather is funny, Magic Planter could be a neat option, Critias could be fun to mess around with as a side thing, Thrust can grab your spells or paleos, Anguish pops on either field so an Artifact engine is valid, Stungray is another monster, as is Metal Reflect Slime which can convert into Egyptian God Slime, and as hinted Paleozoic is also a neat engine to splice.
