This is a combination of 3 archetypes. Nordics , Aesir and Relics cards. Aesir cards are the Synchro Gods Odin, Thor and Loki. Relics are trap cards that act as equip cards but only for 1 turn. Nordics is the basic archetype of all small monsters. The holders of these 3 Gods were:a) Broder, b) Dragan, c) Halldor.
Let's start with some basics, we want to summon the Aesir Gods but every card has different rules which specifies the name of the tuner card + that it needs at least 3 monsters as synchro materials (1 tuner and 2 or more non-tuner). We can cheat out the first limitation by using "Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant" as a substitute or we can even use the effect of "Alviss of the Nordic Alfar" combined with "Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant" to skip the tuner card too.
While most players are using something like 30 Nordic monsters so they can normal summon 1 Nordic, to special summon "Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant" and then banish 3 more cards (and practically lose 4 cards) to summon a God. It is more efficient to summon a God with only 2 cards.
First you normal summon a Nordic monster then you special summon "Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant" and banish from hand "Alviss of the Nordic Alfar". After that you can even skip the tuner monster and use as materials whatever you want (with the cost of 2 cards instead of 4). One useful tip I can give you is that it's better with "Alviss of the Nordic Alfar" effect to discard from deck the most useless Nordic monsters (most of the times the level 4 and some level 3 beast-type cards).
While reading the effects of the Gods you might think that they are very strong and with the protection of "Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant" even more protected, but this is not true. While it's easy to summon the first God, it's way more difficult to summon the second and you have to play for multiple turns with only 1 attacking monster which is quite slow. What is problematic with Aesir Gods is that their effects are once per turn and only in your turn. Mostly you will find the Odin as the best one, while the others are so more useless (that's why my Extra deck is not full of them).
To reach the level 10 of synchro materials you basically need:
4+4+2 or 4+3+3 which as a result shows us that we need more level 4 monsters than level 3 or 2.
Now by watching at the deck you can find x5 level 2, x5 level 3 and x9 level 4 monsters which is the sweet spot for me. To make a God with the efficient combo you lose around 5 Nordic monsters from your main deck.
Most decks you can find on youtube are a pile of 30 nordic monsters without some short of protection or alternative ways of playing via XYZ cards for example. One big minus of these decks is that they use tuner cards but they don't have other Synchro monsters aside of the Aesir Gods. Just to remind you that Aesir Gods need a lot of materials and sometimes specified materials to get summoned, while generic Synchro cards do not. So, cards like "Black Rose Dragon", "Stardust Dragon" (which can be used as a protector) and "Draco Berserker of the Tenyi" can be used to extend the plays.
But what's the weaknesses of this deck?
1. It's possible that your opponent can negate the effect of "Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant" (by "Effect Veiler) or even destroy it. That's why cards as "Destruction Jammer" and "Forbidden dress" are godsend ("Forbidden Dress doesn't need a setup).
2. There is not enough protection from cards like "Raigeki" that doesn't target the Aesir Gods. So you might need something even more drastically than one-turn-protection cards. What comes to mind are: "Power of the Guardians" and "Dimension Guardian". I think that I prefer "Dimension Guardian" as a surprise (jumpscare) card, while "Power of the Guardians" is way more searchable.
3. As I said before the game pacing is quite slow and most of the times the only attacking monster is going to be "Odin". So your enemy is going to play the defensive role till he draw his "Raigeki" or "Dark Hole". So my idea was to add some piercing dmg, cause cards like "Divine Relic Mjollnir" and "Nordic Relic Megingjord" can possibly make an one-turn-kill. To do so we have "Fairy Meteor Crush", "Big Bang Shot" and "H - Heated Heart".
a) "Big Bang Shot" gives our monster a very big disadvantage, "When this spell card leaves the field, banish the equipped monster".
b) "Fairy Meteor Crush" on the other hand is an equipped card as "Big Bang Shot", which means that before "Odin" attacks, to protect himself from trap cards like "Mirror force" we should active it's effect. By activating it, all the spell cards effects on "Odin" are negated...
c) "H - Heated Heart" on the other hand is an one-turn-card, but it can't be negated if it's activated firstly on "Odin" and then "Odin" activates his own effect.
I don't want to overdo it with even more details and more in-depth combos. I am quite disappointed with Nordic cards. After the Link card's support, it doesn't matter most of the Nordic monster's effects, cause they've being used just as materials ( we don't even care for tuner cards, at a Synchro-Based deck... LOL). That's a shame and I was about to give up on this deck, but then I've found so bad deck profiles on the internet (as always) so... here we are today.
