Swordsouls meet Archfiends

This is the final (...?~) version of my first ever deck.

I arrived into Yu-Gi-Oh earlier this year, all for shits and giggles (and I still am here for that. I would rather let my opponent win but have a cool deck than having cancerous omninegate bullshit.) and I discovered two Archetypes I loved: Swordsoul and Archfiend. My unexperienced mind back then said "Imma just use both!" and so I haphazardly threw in cards of both archetypes, using the Swordsouls as an engine for my Archfiends without even knowing what engine even meant. My first iteration was obviously not the best, but still very workable. It had too many dead hands, but a good hand could easily break huge boards. (We love Scarred Dragon Archfiend (87451661). He's the best. ♥). Then, playing games after games and meeting people playing both Swordsoul and Archfiends, I slowly but surely took inspiration from them, discovered parts I never thought were possible with each Archetype. And finally I ended up on this actually quite competitive deck, with very few dead hands. (Seriously, the consistency is scary. The Bone Archfiend (25784595) is a very, very good card, and the very recent addition of Soul Resonator (62991792) allowed it to be pulled out of almost any hand.)

Modifications over time:

• 18/11/2024@11:46pm - Faciliating a Supernova Summon:
  • Replaced one copy of Scarred Dragon Archfiend with Red Rising Dragon.
    • This change suddenly makes the use of Crimson Resonator, and therefore a Red Supernova Dragon Summon much, much easier T1.
  • Added a Chain Resonator.
    • To facilitate an eventual manual call of Crimson Resonator or any Resonator, for the same purpose as above, though usable for other combos.
