Hello and welcome to my Dragon link build, as you can see this is a 60 card build and is inspired by Shunping Xu’s (aka ‘dragon god’) 60 card dragon link deck. This deck is very consistent and is easily the best deck of the metagame right now. Adding Dragonmaids to this deck is one of its upsides, chamber and parlor dragonmaid can easily use their effects to get 2 dragons to the field aka Romulus (full combo).
I explain the deck and the COMBO, which results in 1 hand rip, 1 extra deck rip, banishing the top card of your opponents deck, having a true king of all calamities on the field (free win) and apollusa with 3 negates - all with just one of the 15 starters in the deck (dark ruler doesn't save the opponent as well) on my youtube video, please subscribe to my channel and like the video it is a great way to support me and the channel. You are running 15 starters to guarantee that you draw one of them in order to combo off. You will see a starter at hand approximately 1 in every 4 cards. The starters include 3x black metal dragon, 3x Starliege sefert, 3x chaos space, 3x parlor dragonmaid and 3x chamber dragonmaid. If for some reason you do not draw one of your starters getting 2 dragons on the field will work as well.
Handtraps - 15
You are playing 15 handtraps as well to interrupt your opponent as much as possible so that they cannot combo off. You are playing the high impact handtraps like droll and nibiru for this reason and playing gamma to ensure your combos goes off (sefert tribute itself, chaos space etc). Handtrap lineup is your choice, you can mix things up the way you like but you should definitely keep droll, nibiru and gamma - they are the most high impact handtraps in the game.
Extenders - 22
You need extenders to extend your own combo if you get handtrapped - no explanation needed here.
Bricks - 4
Special case bricks - 4
There are 8 cards in this deck that you don’t usually want to draw but that does not mean ALL of them are bricks. Half of them are bricks, like PSY driver and Dragomaid tidying but the others are not always bricks and can sometimes be useful for example - rokket recharger can be sent to the GY for its effect, It better that having a silver rokket at hand and it's not completely useless and red rose dragon can be used to extend the combo if you draw it (One of Shunping Xu’s genius plays). I explain that down below
Combo: To prove Red rose is not always a brick
Cards needed: Any starter + any extender + red rose (I will use parlor dragonmaid and noctovision dragon for this but it can be any of them)
Normal summon Parlor dragonmaid
Eff. Parlor - Mill dragonmaid tidying from deck
Parlor Dragonmaid = Striker dragon
Eff. Striker dragon - search boot sector launch
Eff. Noctovision dragon in hand - special summon itself to field
Tidying eff. In grave - banish it to special summon parlor dragonmaid from GY
Noctovision + striker dragon = Romulus (Don’t use the dragonmaid!)
Romulus eff. (1) - search ravine
Noctovision eff. Draw 1 card (this is not needed for the combobut I decided to put it anyway)
Parlor dragonmaid = 2nd Striker dragon
Romulus eff. (2) - special summon red rose dragon from hand
That’s basically the setup for red rose dragon, you can do the combo from here and you already have a tuner on the field (that is not tracer) without having to use halqifibrax! This means you can even get a full combo (more or less) if your halq gets handtrapped. Watch my video to see how to do the best case scenario combo, Link down below!
