Branded Red-Eyes fuses two of the most oppressive engines in modern Yu-Gi-Oh! into a single shell. The Branded/Despia core provides consistent access to Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon and a web of recursive Fusion plays, while Red-Eyes Fusion turbo-summons Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon straight from the deck — an untargetable 3000 ATK omni-negate that most boards simply cannot answer. Super Polymerization rounds out the package as non-respondable removal that converts the opponent's field into your advantage. The deck excels going first, layering Mirrorjade's Quick Effect banish and Dragoon's negate into a wall that demands multiple answers, but can also grind going second thanks to Super Poly, Forbidden Droplet, and Branded in Red counterplay on the opponent's turn.
Strategy:
Going first, prioritize Branded Fusion into Mirrorjade and, if resources allow, Red-Eyes Fusion into Dragoon for a two-negate board with a field-nuke insurance policy. Going second, lean on Super Polymerization and Forbidden Droplet to crack established boards, then rebuild with Branded in Red during your opponent's follow-up turn. Be mindful of the resource conflict: both Branded Fusion and Red-Eyes Fusion send materials from the deck, so sequence them carefully — don't send Red-Eyes Black Dragon off Branded Fusion if you still plan to resolve Red-Eyes Fusion that turn.
Example Plays:
1. Branded Fusion → Mirrorjade (Primary Line)
Activate Branded Fusion, sending Fallen of Albaz and Despian Tragedy from the deck to Fusion Summon Lubellion the Searing Dragon. Tragedy triggers in the GY, searching Aluber or Blazing Cartesia. Lubellion then banishes itself and Albaz from the GY to Fusion Summon Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon — a Quick Effect banish on legs with a field-nuke trigger if it leaves the field.
2. Red-Eyes Fusion → Dragoon Turbo
Activate Red-Eyes Fusion, sending Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Dark Magician directly from the deck to Fusion Summon Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. Dragoon is unaffected by card effects, cannot be targeted or destroyed, packs a once-per-turn omni-negate that destroys and burns for 1000, and gains 1000 ATK each time it negates. One card, no setup required.
3. Black Metal Dragon — The Bridge
Equip Black Metal Dragon to Dragoon (it's a Dragon). When Black Metal Dragon is sent to the GY by any means — including Foolish Burial, Super Poly fodder, or the equipped monster leaving — it searches any "Red-Eyes" card. This lets you grab Red-Eyes Fusion, Red-Eyes Insight, or Red-Eyes Black Dragon itself, seamlessly connecting the Branded and Red-Eyes halves of the deck.
4. Branded in Red (Opponent's Turn Fusion)
During the opponent's turn, activate Branded in Red to fuse Fallen of Albaz from your GY with a monster your opponent controls that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Summon Albion the Branded Dragon or a second Mirrorjade, and recover a Despia or Albaz monster to hand. Turns the opponent's power plays into your resources.
5. Super Polymerization (Non-Respondable Board Break)
Activate Super Polymerization (which cannot be responded to), using an opponent's monster alongside one of yours — or two of theirs — as Fusion Material. Against DARK-heavy boards, make Predaplant Dragostapelia for an effect negation; against same-Type or same-Attribute boards, summon Guardian Chimera (for draws), Garura, or Mudragon of the Swamp. Doubles as removal and advantage in one card.
