After playing around with Radiant Typhoon World Chalice a lot more and even including new additions from LOCH and LOCR, I have managed to further optimize this Deck. While it still folds to most pieces of non-engine, it is still fun to play around with. Most of the cards here I have already discussed in my previous Radiant Typhoon World Chalice list, so I will only be going through my reasons for the new inclusions or substitutions.
Your combo requirement is still just a Radiant Typhoon monster and World Legacy - “World Chalice”. Opening Radiant Typhoon Eldam, Special Summon Eldam from hand and activate its effect to add Radiant Typhoon Swen from Deck to hand. Special Summon Swen from hand and activate its effect to search for Mystical Space Typhoon. Link both into Lahamu the Messenger of Sacred Scripture. Activate Lahamu’s effect to immediately Normal Summon World Legacy - “World Chalice” and apply Lahamu’s effect to Normal Summon it without Tributing. Link World Chalice into Galatea-I, the Orcust Automaton. World Chalice triggers in GY to Special Summon Chosen by the World Chalice and Lee the World Chalice Fairy from Deck. Lee triggers on Special Summon to add World Chalice Guardragon from Deck to hand. Activate Galatea-I’s effect, sending WC Guardragon from hand to GY, to add another World Legacy - “World Chalice” from Deck to hand. Synchro Chosen and Lee into Ib the World Chalice Justiciar. Ib triggers on Synchro Summon to add World Legacy’ Landmark from Deck to hand. Link Ib and Galatea-I into Lib the World Key Blademaster. Ib triggers in GY to Special Summon another World Legacy - “World Chalice” from Deck. Activate Lib’s effect to set World Legacy Succession from Deck. Banish WC Guardragon from GY to activate its effect, targeting Chosen in the GY, to Special Summon it to the zone Lib points to. Link Chosen into Imduk the World Chalice Dragon. Activate Lee’s effect in GY, sending Imduk from field to GY, to add Lee to hand. Imduk triggers in GY to Special Summon the World Legacy - “World Chalice” in your hand. Activate Succession to Special Summon the third World Legacy - "World Chalice" from GY. Then, because you haven’t Normal Summoned for turn yet, Normal Summon Lee. Link Lee and Lahamu into W:P Fancy Ball. Finally, set World Legacy Landmark and MST. This board has 3 copies of World Legacy - "World Chalice", a W:P Fancy Ball, a Lib the World Key Blademaster, and an MST and a World Legacy Landmark set. The World Chalices can Tribute themselves if a monster(s) is Special Summoned from your opponent’s Extra Deck to send those monsters to the GY. Fancy Ball and Quick Effect Link Summon an S:P Little Knight, a Knightmare Unicorn, or a Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon on your opponent's turn and since Lib was Link Summoned and sent to GY as Link Material, she can shuffle a card on field into the Deck. MST is a Spell/Trap pop and Landmark can banish 1 of your World Chalices to bring back Fancy Ball and another monster from GY. Fancy Ball can then be used to negate and banish your opponent's activated monster effect on field or in GY.
For the Main Deck monsters, nothing has changed other than me getting rid of the 3 copies of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring in favor of more Spell/Traps. While Ash, in addition to our other Main Decked handtrap, Droll & Lock Bird, are good inclusions, I came to the conclusion that I would rather rely on my Spell-based pieces of non-engine that I was already Main Decking as a way to interrupt the opponent or play into a board when losing the dice roll.
The biggest amount of changes was to the Spell/Traps played in the Main Deck. Starting with the Radiant Typhoon Spells, I cut Radiant Typhoon Ascendance and a copy of World Legacy Succession in order to play a 3rd copy of Radiant Typhoon Chant, 3 copies of Radiant Typhoon Vision, and then Main Deck the copy of Mystical Space Typhoon that I was previously choosing to Side Deck. The reason for doing all of this was to up my Quick-Play Spell Card count so that I could comfortably play 3 copies of Vision. One of the biggest issues with this Deck in terms of how often you open combo is your access to World Legacy - "World Chalice". There are only 3 different (and good) ways that we can search for Chalice: Lee the World Chalice Fairy, Piri Reis Map, and Girsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight whose World Legacy Token can be used to Link Summon Galatea-I, the Orcust Automaton who then can search for Chalice. Visions not only gives the Deck some draw power to maybe draw into pieces of non-engine, but it could also just draw you into Chalice in hands where you do not open access to it. MST also pops a Spell/Trap on the field, which is actually good to Main Deck since a large amount of the Deck's disruptions are aimed towards either monsters or monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Potentially having something to pop a face-up Spell/Trap (Field Spell, Continuous Spell, Continuous Trap, etc.) is actually kind of nice to have readily in the Main Deck for this Deck specifically. For the changes to the World Legacy Spell/Traps, I already mentioned that I cut a copy of Succession, but I also cut the Main Deck Triple Tactics Talent so that I could slot in a copy of World Legacy Landmark. Originally, the second copy of Succession was there to possibly be able to Summon a monster from GY to Linkpoint as follow-up since we were already using 1 Succession in our combo. I then figured that World Legacy's Heart adding 2 World Chalice monsters with different names from GY to hand is just as good for follow-up. On the other hand, Landmark can banish a World Legacy monster from hand or face-up field to target 2 monsters in your GY and Special Summon them. I am still choosing to play the 1 copy of World Legacy's Secret to bring back a World Legacy - "World Chalice" from GY, but Landmark is a good card to play specifically alongside W:P Fancy Ball. We are always ending on Fancy Ball instead of making it on our opponent's turn because options that would allow us to do so (I:P Masquerena and World Legacy Awakens) would only result in us being able to use 1 of Fancy Ball's effects instead of both in the same turn. Making Fancy Ball on turn 1 and then setting Landmark allows us to Link Fancy Ball and usually Lib the World Key Blademaster into S:P Little Knight, Knightmare Unicorn, or the new Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon. Landmark would then banish one of our copies of World Chalice on field to bring back Fancy Ball and another monster from GY, allowing us to then be able to use Fancy Ball's first effect since we did Special Summon it this turn (from GY).
In the Extra Deck, I cut Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax, Sky Strike Ace - Azalea, and I:P Masquerena. In their places, I played Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon, Knightmare Unicorn, and W:P Fancy Ball. Avramax was only played as a big, hard-to-out Link Monster, which is the case when you make him with Masquerena. Perfectron is a bigger, arguably harder-to-out Link Monster than Avramax and it has an effect we can use for interruption. Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon is a LINK-5 that requires 1+ Link Monsters as material. On Link Summon or at the end of the Damage Step in which it battled, you must destroy as many monsters your opponent controls as possible and then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each Link Monster in your GY. In addition to being EARTH Attribute, it is also LIGHT, WATER, FIRE, and WIND while face-up on the field and it is unaffected by the activated effects of monsters that share an Attribute with it. Also, if it would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can reduce its original 5000 ATK by 1000 instead. Perfectron is one of the Link Monsters that you can be going into with Fancy Ball, and it just blows up all monsters your opponent controls and then burns them for a decent amount. With its protections in mind, it is just a really really good Link Monster you can go into on your opponent's turn if S:P or Unicorn is not what you currently want. Unicorn is arguably a better form of interruption than Azalea was since it shuffles the card it targets on Link Summon into the Deck, but the reason why I decided upon Unicorn is that we only go through 1 Spell in our set-up combo and Azalea sends herself to GY if you have 3 or less Spells in GY. You could still very much play Azalea, but Unicorn is just a monster that is more guaranteed to stick around after using its effect. W:P Fancy Ball is a LINK-3 that requires 2+ Effect Monsters. When your opponent activates a monster effect on field or in GY, you can Quick Effect banish Fancy Ball (that was Special Summon this turn) until the End Phase to negate that effect and banish that monster. It can also Quick Effect perform a Link Summon during your opponent's turn and if it does use itself as material for that Link Summon, you can also use a LINK-2 or lower monsters your opponent controls as material. Also, neither player can activate Link Monster effects in response to the activation of this effect. Long story short, Fancy Ball is a Masquerena that can be made using Link Monsters as material, it can use a LINK-2 or lower monster your opponent controls as Link Material for the Link Summon it performs, and it is interruption. The fact that it could perform a Quick Effect Link Summon on your opponent's turn and use Link Monsters for its own Summon was good enough for us to play already, but the rest is a very welcome addition.
For the Side Deck, I just decided to include better going second cards as this Deck has the most trouble going second: 3 Mulcharmy Fuwalos, 3 Mulcharmy Purulia, 2 Triple Tactics Thrust, 1 Triple Tactics Talent, 1 Illusion Gate, 1 Harpie's Feather Duster, 3 Evenly Matched, and 1 The Black Goat Laughs.
