Power: Low Rogue (7.0/10) - This is a TCG-legal Link Evolution card-pool PaniK control deck built around Lair of Darkness, Virus traps, Super Polymerization, and the old Castle of Dark Illusions flavor. The deck is cleaner than the previous version because the forbidden Extra Deck cards are gone and the weak tribute pieces have become Skill Drain, Solemn Judgment, and Ballista Squad. It stays Low Rogue because it still wants to go first, leans heavily on Lair, and keeps a few theme-first cards that modern rogue decks would not play.
Consistency: Solid for an identity deck. Ahrima, Terraforming, Metaverse, Lair of Darkness, Lilith, Tour Guide, Fiendish Rhino Warrior, Allure of Darkness, and Trap Trick give the deck several ways to find its field spell, traps, or DARK bodies. Castle of Dark Illusions is kept as a one-copy PaniK card instead of becoming a repeated brick.
Ceiling: Good when the control pieces line up. Lair lets Lilith, Ballista Squad, and Virus traps convert opposing monsters into costs, while Super Polymerization turns DARK-heavy boards into Starving Venom, Dragostapelia, Mudragon, or Triphyoverutum. Skill Drain, Solemn Judgment, Trap Trick, and the Virus package can steal games against decks that need monster effects or specific hand pieces.
Recovery: Moderate. Darkest Diabolos can recur after DARK tributes, Burning Abyss cards replace themselves, Cir can bring back a BA body, and Lair creates tokens for follow-up pressure. The deck does not grind forever, so it wants each trap to trade hard and then close with Diabolos, Borrelsword, or a Super Poly Fusion.
Going first/second: Best going first. Open Lair, Lilith, Trap Trick, Virus traps, Skill Drain, Solemn Judgment, or Ballista Squad and make the opponent play through awkward tribute pressure. Going second, Super Polymerization, Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, Nibiru, Cosmic Cyclone, and Ash Blossom give the deck real ways to break slower or monster-heavy boards.
Choke points: Remove Lair of Darkness before Lilith, Ballista Squad, or the Virus traps resolve. Stop Ahrima or Terraforming from finding Lair. Banish Darkest Diabolos instead of destroying it. Interrupt Tour Guide before it reaches Cherubini or Dante. Backrow removal is strongest before Trap Trick can set the exact answer.
Key cards: Lair of Darkness, Castle of Dark Illusions, Lilith, Lady of Lament, Ahrima, the Wicked Warden, Darkest Diabolos, Lord of the Lair, Tour Guide From the Underworld, Trap Trick, Deck Devastation Virus, Eradicator Epidemic Virus, Ballista Squad, Skill Drain, Solemn Judgment, Super Polymerization.
Key combos: Ahrima searches Lair pieces or Diabolos. Lilith under Lair can tribute an opponent's DARK monster to set a Virus trap or Ballista Squad through Trap Trick. Lair turns all face-up monsters DARK, making Super Polymerization live into Starving Venom or Triphyoverutum. Tour Guide makes Dante, Cherubini, or Break Sword lines while loading Graff, Cir, Scarm, or Back Jack. Skill Drain plus Diabolos pressure gives the deck a simple floodgate-and-boss plan when the combo lines are not available.
