I know in my last deckprofile I talked crap about pile lists but hear me out. I'm just playing 48 cards so it doesn't count!
Okay so maybe it counts a little but I think there's a big difference in the deck that played all the best engines together to abuse only the strongest of cards and, yknow, Lightsworns. I appreciate a good chaos pile deck as much as the next guy!
So with Dimension Force on it's way we need to talk about the newest addition to the P.U.N.K. team: Noh-P.U.N.K. Dia Note.
Put on your overalls and grab a wrench, we're talking engines now!
P.U.N.K.
Combo Line:
Summon Ze Amin, effect to add Foxy Tune.
Foxy Tune effect to SS Dia Note.
Synchro Summon Chaos Ruler, C1 Chaos Ruler C2 Dia Note to SS Foxy Tune // Mill 5
Overlay both for Zombie Vampire // Mill 4
Keep in mind that chaos pile decks are non-linear so you might do other stuff in between this.
P.U.N.K.s are also the reason I'm not playing 60 cards. I want to see this engine consistently while still having enough cards to a) not brick on Wulf and Felis and b) not ever mill Snow/Destrudo. So I ended up at 48.
Ze Amin: You're starter
Ogre Dance: Searches Ze Amin (and Dia Note)
Foxy Tune: SS Dia Note from Deck and enables Engine without a NS if you open Foxy Tune + a P.U.N.K. monster
Alternative Combo Line: Foxy Tune effect to SS Ze Amin. Ze Amin effect searches Dia Note. Dia Note effect sends the other P.U.N.K. and summons herself --> Setup as seen in step 2.
Chaos Space: Searches either of the Chaos Dragons, returns a banished card (has multiple niche uses like recycling a card that you want in deck like Dia Note if she's milled, Fusion Material if you play a DPE package for example).
DD Crow: Like Ghost Belle it manipulates the GY. Since it's a DARK it's better here than Belle.
Effect Veiler: Albeit technically a worse Imperm when it comes to it's function as a handtrap, it is also a tuner and a LIGHT making it better here than Imperm.
The all-generic Extra Deck
Think of a number between 1 and 1652. Picked one? Great. I guarantee you whatever number you picked, it would still not be enough to fit all Extra Deck cards that Pile decks would like to play. (A higher number and I'd have to account for custom cards. No thank you) So these are the 15 I decided to play and here's why. Welcome to my TED Talk:
Link Monsters:
Striker Dragon: Used to link climb with the Chaos Dragons.
I:P Masquerena: Used to summon Knightmare Phoenix on your opponent's turn and puts Snow back into the GY.
Crystron Halqifibrax: Used to link climb or to summon Sharakusai to Synchro Summon on your opponent's turn. It's other effect can be used for Desert Locust (I'll refer to the card later).
Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess: Multiple monster effect negates. It never hurts to use your first badge of resources for her. If you can, use Chaos Ruler before going into Zombie Vampire and summon it back with its effect, then it won't get banished if you overlay it for Zombie Vampire later.
Closing Thoughts: Each of them is very important. I really cut it down to the necessities. If I could I'd play more. Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy for example is great, especially after Vampire Zombie milled cards for your opponent.
XYZ Monsters:
Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn: Used to flex your price card to let everyone know your either crazy good or crazy rich. Oh it also mills 3 and might draw you some cards, too.
The Zombie Vampire: Mills 4 cards and summons you another body. Depending on your opponent's deck this can either really mess them up or help them greatly. But we're all Dopamine addicts so don't even pretend you'd hesitate for even a second to use it's effect even against the worst matchup possible.
Desert Locust: Loops a card out of your opponent's hand and can then summon Fleur with Snow or Amazing Dragon with Dawn Dragster after it's used its effect.
FA Dawn Dragster: It's a Spell/Trap negate that can be made with Destrudo and almost any monster.
Shooting Riser Dragon: Can mill Snow and then also used for another Synchro Summon, etc.
Borreload Savage Dragon: You have plenty of tuners, non-tuners, level 4 monsters and links in the GY so this is an easy omni negate. // Adamancipator Risen - Dragite is a great budget option as long as you get Halq into the GY (and then not banish it with Snow..obviously).
Baronne de Fleur: There're surprisingly many ways to make a level 10 Synchro and this one is simply the strongest one. // For a budget option I'd choose Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying. It has near infinite attack after using Snow once or twice, protection and has great removal. There's plenty of removal already that's why I'd prefer Fleur.
Closing Thoughts: As you can see I'm playing a whole lot of Synchro monsters for a whole lot of different board states. Chaos pile decks are very non-linear but you could technically remove Desert Locust, Fleur and Amazing Dragon for more Link or XYZ monsters. I recommend keeping the other ones!
Once again I have to mess with the Side Deck to get the right tags. Can we please bring choosing tags back? :')
