Overview
The Deck has a different mode for going first and second. Going first the deck focuses on using the Punk cards as a synchro 8 turbo engine to get into Primus and Centur-ion combo. Going second the deck can still Centurion Combo but ideally uses the standard Punk strategy to synchro for 11 and break boards.
Side Boarding
In terms of side boarding the deck can side in additional breakers when going second and Crossout/Called by when going first. Against Malice specifically thrust for Sanctum ensures 6 copies of lancea when going first. The deck already has a decent matchup against Malice in my testing even without lancea so it's possible to go lighter on the lancea. The deck can struggle against Ryzeal going second which is why the side deck maximizes on copies of Ultimate Slayer. Siding out Sharakusai when going second is reccomended if the punk engine is trimmed at all during siding.
Ratios
1 Card Starters: 16
2 Card Starters: 3 (Deer Note, Shirakusai, Rising Scale)
Bricks: 3 (Gargoyle, Atrii, Stand-up)
Non-engine: 19 + 1 (Pot of Prosperity)
Maintaining 40 cards seems objectively incorrect in this version of the deck. The 2 card Punk starters require another Punk in hand otherwise they are bricks. Adding 2 extra Punks as cards 41/42 actually increases the chances that 2 Punk cards are drawn together while lowering the chance that any of the 1 off cards are drawn. Going up in cards also reduces the chance of drawing a brick. The downside is the odds of drawing two non-engine in the opening hand does go down slightly. The flip of cutting down non-engine to get to 40 cards may seem like a plus but where that does increase the chance of drawing 2 Punks it decreases the chance of drawing 2 non-engine (more than adding 2 more cards does).
The deck runs 2 Emblema Oath because hard drawing an Oath means Primus loses value off the add. The deck needs a lot of card economy to keep up with the discards so missing an add is very negative.
The deck does not play Centur-Ion Phalanx and Stand-up because there is already enough bricks in the deck and ideal engine draw is Punk cards regardless. This does limit the power of the Centur-Ion one card combos but at the end of the day the deck has far to many bricks. This version of the deck attempts to cut down on bricks as much as possible and reduce the odds of bricking in general.
