Odion is a very protective character in Yugioh. Marik gave him Winged Dragon of Ra to compete versus Joey and did anything to help his master.
The concept of this deck is to revive his strategy (trap monsters) and make it work with all 3 Egyptian Gods. As you might know, to execute such a gameplan with all 3 Egyptian Gods in one deck, your cards should control the board and maybe you have to stun-lock your opponent somehow. Even if Legacy of the Duelist :Link Evolution doesn't have the support of archetypes like "Eldlich", “ARG☆Stars” or cards like: "Angel Statue - Azurune", "Prey of the Jirai Gumo", "Apophis the Swamp Deity", it still has the most important one "Statue of Anguish Pattern".
"Statue of Anguish Pattern"s destroy effect is not once per turn, while with the help of multiples of "Cyber Shadow Gardna", you can destroy in ever opponent's turn a moderate number of cards. While the point of this deck is to normal summon an Egyptian God, you can always rely on level 10 xyz too, by using "Metal Reflect Slime". "The first Monarch" can be used to summon easier a God with 2 tributes instead of 3. "Tiki soul" and "Imperial Custom" are mostly used as chain effect to protect other Trap-Monster cards from destruction.
While the "Tiki" cards and "Cyber Shadow Gardna" seem strong enough for enemies that don't read, versus CPU/Bots these cards are so easy to get rid of (by focusing the right one in battle phase). "Zoma the spirit" and other level 4 monsters are quite useful to use them for XYZ summoning of Utopia monsters and OTK or for "Time thief Redoer", but the more you add, the less stable the deck becomes.
The idea around "I:P Masquerena" is that the level 4 "Cyber Shadow Gardna" isn't a card you can use as a body in your turn. So by using Masquerena you can link summon it in your opponent's turn into "Berserker of the Tenyi" for a protected 3000 ATK beatstick.
On the other hand "World Gears of Theurlogical Demiurgy" can be easily summoned as long as this deck has level 5,6,7,10 Trap-Monsters, that are all different attribute and type (which enables it's effect).
Necrovalley is a very strong floodgate to disable your opponent's grave (something that I've learnt playing versus Odion's gravekeeper's deck), while it makes "Cat of ill omen"s flip effect even better while on field.
If you need to search for an Egyptian God card, you can make it through "pathfinder" to "mound of the bound creator" and then destroy it with "Statue of Anguish Pattern" (as an alternative way of searching them by losing "Deep Diver" in a battle). "Hardened armed dragon" or "dimension guardian" can protect a God card from mirror force but it's easier to search through "Mound of the Bound creator".
Cards like "Mage power" and "United we stand" are quite strong with this strategy even if I use small amount of Trap-Monsters.
"Scapeghost" and "Corrupted keys" are good to tribute summon a God quickly, but I've tried them in other decks more effectively. For a more consistent deck with more Trap Monsters you can try "ShapeSister" to synchro summon "Goyo Guardian" or "Naturia" monsters.
"Raigeki" and "Swords of revealing light" are being used to stun and destroy massively some monsters, cause this strategy is slow as f@ck!
I've tried many different techs like "Giant rat" to "pathfinder"/"hardened armed dragon" or "Mystic Tomato" to "Witch of the Black forest" to literally every monster possible. But this feels like the best version of the deck.
*You can remove x2 Raigeki, x3 Swords of revealing light, x1 Cardcar D
*to add: x3 Watch Cat, x1 Abyss Stungray, x1 The First Monarch, x1 Magic Planter
