First it was Ishizu responsible for creating the strongest Yugioh deck of all time, Ishizu Tearlament... Now is it Odion's turn to dominate competition like he did in Battle City? Apparently he is, because the strategy has consistent regional tops all across the board! Need proof? Just search up "Odion" in YGOPRODECK's "tournament meta decks" section and you'll see a ton of hits!

Just like the "pure" Odion deck, the main strategy is to dominate your opponent with multiple negate/pops with your Apophis trap cards. However, the difference is that Fiendsmith adds a whole new layer of interactions that your opponent has to deal with, either by baiting their handtraps or facing down Desirae's omni-negate If you thought Odion was strong, how about Odion AND the strongest engine in the format?

Odion can also search and activate ANY trap card too, thanks to a easily accessible Lord of the Heavenly Prison - which in turn sets any trap card from deck! Need Different Dimension Ground to render the GY inaccessible for a turn? Need Imperial Iron Wall so Maliss cannot play? Need Dimensional Barrier to lock your Ryzeal opponent from XYZ summoning? It's all searchable and usable in the same turn thanks to Heavenly Prison + Temple of the Kings!

Shoutout to the first guy who topped using Odion - Hadar Marom! (Deck profile is at Galzo's Youtube channel) I basically copied his deck profile and I wanted to test the strategy out for myself!

Here is the main combo for the deck:

Man with the Mark + 1 card to set = Apophis the Swamp Deity (omni-negate),

Normal summon Man with the Mark. Search Treasures of the Kings.
Activate Treasures of the Kings and set from deck Apophis the Serpent.
Set another card from your hand in the backrow.
Activate Treasure of the King's effect to search for Merciless Scorpion of Serket from deck.
Summon Serket by banishing a level 10 (usually Nibiru) from deck.
Activate Serket's effect to search for Temple of the Kings from deck.
Activate Temple of the Kings.
Activate Apophis the Serpent to summon itself and set Apophis the Swamp Deity from deck.
XYZ summon Gallant Granite using Man with the Mark + Apophis the Serpent.
Detach Apophis the Serpent from Gallant Granite to search for Lord of the Heavenly Prison from deck.
Activate Lord of the Heavenly Prison's effect to reveal itself and to protect your face-down cards.
Activate Apophis the Serpents trigger effect in the GY to search for Embodiment of Apophis from deck.
Link summon Silhouhatte Rabbit and set from deck Statue of Anguish Pattern.
Set your cards in the backrow, especially the Embodiment of Apophis you searched.
As soon as possible during your opponent's turn, activate Statue of Anguish Pattern to summon it.
Activate Lord of the Heavenly Prison's trigger effect to summon itself from hand and set any trap card from deck (usually Verdict of Anubis).
