Setting his eyes on Solomon's prized Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Seto Kaiba challenges Solomon to a duel in an attempt to claim the Blue-Eyes! Unfortinatly for Kaiba, the veteran duelist defeated him even with the aid of the youth's new Monster card holograms!

After claiming victory Solomon is invited to Maximillion Pegasus' Duelist Kingdom tornoment persuading him to attend by stealing and sealing his grandson Yugi Muto's soul in a card. Eventually Solomon gains enough Star Chips with the help pf Yugi's friend Joey Wheeler and earns his oppitunity to duel and defeat Pegasus! Reclaming his grandson's soul, Solomon is crowned the King of Games!
