Mimighoul Kashtira (Post European WCQ 2024)

Hi all, this is my Mimighoul list, with a Kashtira Engine.

Despite its lack of killing power and the limits of the Mimighoul's gimmick, I do think it's still an interesting deck to play, placed as a Solid Rogue deck. The deck has a lot of options and will have some support incomming to increase the deck sealing/power.

Why should you pick Mimighoul ?

• A lot of non-engine (between 15 and 20 freespots) and an extra-deck toolbox (many choices/possibilites)
• Many ways to play the deck : handloop, handtrap approach, many engines you can run with (Kashtira, Vernusylph, ...)
• Some versatility in the gameplay (respecting the way you play/you build your list)

Why my choice of the Kashtira engine ?

• Had some versatility in go 1st / go 2nd (disruption with Birth, manage mono threat)
• Has a good synergy with the Mimighoul engine : you can basically use Unicorn effect in Go1st to take information of the opponent deck and rip combo card and use Fenrir to manage a threat or to strengthen your lock
• Don't take too much space in the deck (5-6 cards)

Some notes

• I built a straight 40-card list mainly to maximize my freespot's access (notably Shifter). Maybe you can push the list to 41/42 cards to increase consistancy but in my opinion, you WOULD WANT to have your best handtraps in hand (especially in this meta, in which slowing a deck is difficult and in which Shifter is one of the best handtrap)
• I prefer this ratio of Fenrir/Unicorn for the versatility but this ratio can change. Futhermore, a field spell can be considered in the list to increase consistancy
• For the Master ratio : Master could be cut to play at one. However, I feel 2 to be the good number to have more grind game, to not dig too much your deck in order to have Maker and Room alive.
• For the Maker ratio : I see this card more as an extender than a starter in the Deck : the way the deck works can create a lack of targets in the deck and you won't be able to resolve this card as much. Moreover, you play Thrust in the deck, that allows you more access to this specific card.
• For the Room ratio : the main reason I put this card at this specific ratio is to keep a list at 40. Also, this card could be annoying going second.
• This list is a sample list, I think good, looking the European WCQ result. Meanwhile, feel free to take this list and changes ratios / cards to adapt to your preferences.
