Michael - Herald Cyber Angel [High Rogue]

Power: High Rogue (8.6/10) - This is a stronger current-TCG-legal Link Evolution version of Michael's Herald / Cyber Angel ritual deck. The list loses the banned Extra Deck search engines, but the main plan is still a serious non-meta threat: summon Herald of Perfection or Herald of Ultimateness, keep Fairies in hand, and make every opposing play expensive. Cyber Egg Angel also fixes the old Cyber Emergency problem by giving the deck a real Cyber Angel searcher inside the card pool.

Consistency: Excellent. Manju, Senju, Cyber Petit Angel, Cyber Egg Angel, Cyber Angel Benten, Preparation of Rites, Pre-Preparation of Rites, Dawn of the Herald, and Machine Angel Ritual give the deck many ways to reach a Ritual Monster plus Ritual Spell. Benten turns tribute costs into more Fairy cards, and Eva converts graveyard Fairies into additional Herald discard fuel.

Ceiling: High. A resolved Herald of Perfection or Herald of Ultimateness backed by Benten, Eva, Orange Light, Green Light, Purple Light, and extra Fairies can shut down several actions in a row. Archlord Kristya adds a searchable LIGHT Fairy lock piece, while Herald of Mirage Lights gives the Extra Deck an on-theme negate body after Arc Light became unusable.

Recovery: Strong for a ritual control deck. Benten keeps replacing itself when tributed, Cyber Petit and Cyber Egg rebuild Cyber Angel access, Preparation recovers Ritual Monsters, Machine Angel Ritual can protect LIGHT monsters from destruction in the GY, Natasha can steal an opposing monster from the GY line, and Daigusto Emeral can recycle key monsters in longer games.

Going first/second: Best going first, where the deck wants to establish Herald plus multiple Fairy cards in hand. Going second, the side deck brings Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, Nibiru, Cosmic Cyclone, Harpie's Feather Duster, Pankratops, Droll, and Artifact Lancea so the deck can force a board open before committing to a ritual summon.

Choke points: Stop Pre-Preparation, Preparation, Manju, Senju, Cyber Petit, or Cyber Egg before the ritual pieces line up. Banish or negate Benten and Eva before they convert costs into more Fairies. Remove Herald before the opponent refills their hand, or bait negates with low-value cards before committing the real board breaker. Droll can be especially strong after the first search.

Key combos: Pre-Preparation finds Dawn of the Herald plus Herald of Perfection. Preparation finds Benten or Idaten and can recover a Ritual Spell. Tribute Benten for a Ritual Summon to search Eva, Orange Light, Cyber Petit, or Kristya. Sending Eva to the GY banishes spent LIGHT Fairies to add more Herald discard fuel. Cyber Egg Angel searches the Cyber Angel side of the engine. Herald of Mirage Lights converts spare Fairy bodies into another negate, and Natasha can revive itself by banishing another Cyber Angel to take an opposing monster.
