Metaphys Armed Dragon was lucky enough to be blessed with the Armed Dragon name and therefore can be summoned with Armed Dragon Thunder Lv 5, be banished for Lv 10 White, or used with any of the new spells or traps.
Even on a budget, there are better options for this deck but gimmicks are what give this game life.
Play whatever you like for the extra deck as long as you've got some Link staples and a few Rank 7's.
Change the handtraps/traps for whatever format you find yourself in.
