Meklords Deck
Deck Primer
This is the First Deck I've built so any constructive criticism is welcomed, now for the deck.
While Meklords finally got some love with their new cards, they're still not really viable in the meta, but did get a little better.
Meklord Astro Dragon Triskelia will be the main boss monster of the deck, being able to hit hard and hurt your opponent by stealing a monster from their extra deck, wtih the added benefit of being able to attack up to 3 monsters if one of the monsters its equipped with is a Synchro.
I'd say the deck benefits most from going first, as it gives you a chance to set up negates without having to worry about your opponents board. The main prbolem is hand traps, as they more or less shutdown your opening play outside of Meklord Nucleus Infinity Core and Meklord Assembly. Depending on your hand you have several options:
Option 1- Meklord Army Arsenal of Obbligato and Meklord Emperor Wisel are needed in your hand. Summon Obbligato and uses it effect to destroy itself and summon two Meklord Army monsters from your deck, this will proc Wisel's effect so you can summon it. Link your two Meklord army monsters into Union Carrier, and uses its effect to equip Wisel with Dragon Buster Destruction Sword. Now you've locked your opponent out of their extra deck and have a 3500 attack point monster on the field. If you have any traps in your hand be sure to set them for extra negates or stall and Wisel can also negate one Spell card per turn for another layer of defence. Your Graveyard is also set to be able to summon Triskelia. A downside is that Wisel is the only monster that can attack due to its effect.
Option 2- This can be done as long as you start with Meklord Assembly in your hand and any Meklord Emperor. Using Meklord Assembly you can search for Nucleus if it's not already in your hand, otherwise searh for any Mekord that you need. Summon Nucleus and use its effect to add Meklord Control to your hand. Use Meklord Assembly's other effect to destroy Nucleus by sending Meklord Control to the Graveyard to summon one of your Emperors from the deck, this will also proc the effect of whatever Meklord Emperor is in your hand as well. Summon the Emperor from your hand and a different one from your deck using the effect of Nucleus. Wisel is good here as it adds that extra layer of defence with its effect. but Meklord Emperor Granel could also work giving you a 4000 attack point monster and then using the other Emperor you can link into Linkuriboh as well. Granels attack is based off your LP so it may not be great later into the match or if you use Solemn Judgement next turn. Having Meklord Control in your Graveyard also helps your Meklords survive an effect or attack as well, since you can banish it to negate their destruction.
Of course their a more opening options but these two are the ones I like using the most, and can shut down some opening plays.
Going second is a little bit harder as you'll have a tougher time getting out your Meklords. To help going second Dark Ruler No More and Lightning Storm are pretty self explanatory, and Infinite Impermanence can help shutdown your opponents combos. Try and get Triskelia out as soon as possible if you can. The easiest way is through the use of Obbligato since it sends itself to the Graveyard and you can Link summon to send the others to the Graveyard.
While some of the Spells and Traps seem obvious a choice like Pulse Mines helps keep your Meklords alive and kicking forcing your opponent to have all their monsters in defence position. Link monsters do get round this and can cause a problem but both Solemn traps can help prevent your opponent getting any on the field. I did try Guard Mines as well but found it got very little use as to many effects are mutlitarget.
Meklord Astro Extermination is a nice way to summon 3 of your Meklords from your Graveyard ignoring their summoning conditions, which is a nice way to get Triskelia and Meklord Astro Mekanikle on the field. If your opponent dose have Synchro on the field too, it has the added benefit of being able to get rid of that as well.
Meklord Control can be used to boost one Meklord up to some high attack, and by banishing it from your Graveyard gives your Meklords some defence. Just remember it uses the original attack of Meklords you control, so Emperor Granel will contribute nothing to the total as an example, as its original attack is 0.
As for the Extra Deck I used what most other Meklord decks use. Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid is an alternative way to get a strong monster out on your field, such as Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus as it's able to disrupt your opponents board by returning one card to their deck every turn as long as it has 2+ materials.
Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer is another way to get rid of your opponents Spells and Traps will boasting 5000 attack points, its a nice anaswer to Spell and Trap heavy decks.
Topologic Trisbaena is another answer to Spell and Trap decks, and while it does remove yours too, it is an easier answer than Galaxy Destroyer.
Again this is my first deck I've made and I'm no where near being a good deck builder, but I like Meklords and thought I'd try giving them a go. Again any constructive criticism and advise is welcomed.
