Mekk-Knight Primite (April 2025) (Masterduel)

It's insane that Avram's flavour text has been changed from OCG's

"The hero who defends the light of the stars Must destroy the darkness of the illusory world And entrust his power to the chosen one. The will inherited by the chalice of the stars will become a new key, And become the sword that cuts down darkness."

to something as lame and mundane as

"Check THIS out!" in the TCG.

That is a literary travesty! Why TCG localizers whyyyy?! This has led to this ongoing gag (for 7 years now) that TCG has often been butchering flavour text by quoting Avram's overly "shounen" battle-cry.

Anyways, with Primite, Mekk-Knight now has the chance to incorporate a whole new support engine in its gameplan since Avram is a normal monster! Not only does Lordly Lode/Ether Beryl get you Drillbeam, an incredibly powerful omni-negate, it grabs you a Mekk-Knight body (Avram) from anywhere so you can use it as link material! Ether Beryl + Lode also satisfies the summon requirements of your Mekk-Knight monsters, since you can place Lode in the backrow, then use Beryl to summon the link-1 monster Striker Dragon in the same column!

With these new fancy new Primite toys, I wanted to try to test out Mekk-Knight and "MECH IT HAPPEN" once again!
