This is my attempt to make the new Ancient Fairy Dragon dragon support rogue. They have an insane new trap with Eternal Sunshine, as well as a fun resouce loop with Regulus the Fairy Beast and World of Spirits. This really clicked with me, and has been stuck in my mind ever since I've seen these cards.
This deck's best friend is Revolution Synchron as a way to get to Ancient Fairy Life Dragon in under 5 summons to play under Nibiru, the Primal Being, as well as playing through common handtraps on your normal summon. I feel this card is going to be in Ancient Fairy Dragon decks until a new card takes it's place. I feel running 3 Revolution Synchrons and 3 Tuning is the way to go. I have seen some lists play 2 and 2 of them, but the deck already struggles to Infinite Impermanence and Effect Veiler, so seeing that Revolution Synchron becomes all the more important.
Now onto the elephant in the room; Invoked. Why am I running Invoked in this list? It's normal summon, Aleister the Invoker, is competing with Regulus! Well, this deck has struggles getting into it's resource loop. It's in-archtype one card resource loop into Ancient Fairy Life Dragon is also exactly 5 summons. So, to deal with this, I'm running Invoked. There is a bit of synergy with it as well. With a Magical Meltdown and a Revolution Synchron, you can get within 5 summons an Invoked Mechaba, World of Spirits, Eternal Sunshine, and an Ancient Fairy Life Dragon. It feels a bit jankier, and you can't extend at all after the combo, but does provide a lot for the deck in which it desparately needs.
One cool thing this deck can do is seach Artifact Lancea with Ancient Fairy Life Dragon. Just something to keep in mind if you want to see the light of that Maliss player at your locals eyes just drain.
All of the hand traps and side deck can be swapped out for whatever the meta demands. I would suggest keeping Called by the Grave, Crossout Designator, and Droll & Lock Bird because Droll just decimates the deck, so having as many answers to it as possible will help a lot. Alternatively, you can run Small World and/or Triple Tactics Thrust as ways to get to your engine more consistently, but that's personal preference at that point.
In the extra deck you can run just a tool box of synchos in there. Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon for monster negates, F.A. Dawn Dragster for spell/trap negates, Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend for a board wipe, Hi-Speedroid Chanbara for direct damage. It's, again, just up to preference at that point.
There is another field spell that effectively has 6 copies of itself and can also get a level 4 on field and tuner access that I has also been messing with: Dragon Ravine. Even though it's way more consistent into getting into your Ancient Fairy Dragon engine (without your normal summon too), I don't feels the discard cost on Dragon Ravine and the 4000 LP spent on Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson is worth it. Although, I do feel it's worth testing.
I hope you enjoyed the list!
