The Infernoble knights are rising from the ashes with the help of some new friends!
Deck Strategy:
I thought the deck was dead with the loss of our shawty-- Isolde. To be honest, the deck is much worse, ESPECIALLY if you don't want to spend 400 big ones on the Diabellestar engine.
Fortunately, some special sauce is here to spice things up again.
The deck has a much harder time getting Angelica's Ring onto the field after the ban, which is key to preventing some of the deck's biggest weaknesses like Lightning Storm and Dark Ruler. Now, we have resorted to including Bradamante, who can equip the Ring straight from the deck.
On the other hand, Tuning plus Rev Synchron gets us more cards milled into the graveyard, and even gives us access to the legendary Power Tool Dragon. He can get us a guaranteed durendal, then use rev sunchron again out of the grave to turn him into Crystal Wing. That helps us smell what the Rock is cooking-- and play under Nibiru.
Plus-- the Armored XYZ engine gives the deck a bit more versatility. I had a hard time getting rid of Dempsey on the field after getting his search, so the engine is the natural answer. Use Dempsey to make Fortress, search you XYZ spell and trap off of his effect, use Fortress to make Lancer. Now whenever you equip, Lancer can overlay a monster from your opponent's board, and we all know Infernoble has plenty of ways to get equipped.
Finally-- Battlin' Boxers make a big impact by getting free bodies on the field. Uppercutter makes a great normal summon into sparrer-- allowing you to make a free rank 4. My favorite play is to use the two 4's seperately if you have access to Revolution Synchron. Use the Rev and a boxer to make Power Tool Dragon, then reborn the Rev and use another boxer to make our shawty Angelica. It's extra nifty if you mill an Infernoble Knight with the effect of Rev!
Ideal End Boards:
The best end board you can achieve would include two copies of Charles, one Gearfried, and one Lancer. Hopefully, you can get the Angelic Ring on your board too. This sets you up with two spell negates, a monster negate, and a spell-resolution negate that can stop Dark Ruler. If you have Roland in the grave, make sure to equip him on your opponent's turn for a free destroy from Charles and an overlay from the Lancer!
Another option is having Two Charles, one Gearfried, and Crystal Wing on your end board. While it may not be as diverse as the first option, it does play safer under the Rock.
Some Extra Tips:
Making good use of your Full-Armored XYZ trap can be a game-changer. I recommend waiting for your opponent to use the Extra Deck twice-- then hit them with the Ty-Phon jumpscare! You will probably need to use Charles as you highest-attack monster, so remember to use his negate first!
If you are missing an Infernoble in grave to target and trigger Angelica, it's your perfect chance to use the Armored-XYZ spell! It will target and trigger Angelica, and you can even recycle the spell later with Lancer and use it again in the same turn! Passive income baby.
Watch out for that Warrior lock that comes from the incredible Noble Arms Museum! It can cut off your Armored-XYZ and Power Tool combos if you aren't careful.
Sales ban is for Droll and Lock Bird. We all know he is a menace for this deck, that's nothing new. While this version plays a bit better through D Shifter, Droll is arguably even more impactful now because of the boxers. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
End:
While Infernobles have seen better days, the loss of Isolde is not the end for the Knights. I'm sure there are stronger builds made with the DIabellestar engine, so make sure to take a look at those too. If you are more on the budget side-- give this build a try. The boards it can build may surprise you!
