Ice Barrier - Feb. 2025 TCG Format

The updates to the deck consist of the following :

+1 Strategist of the Ice Barrier

• Combo this with Revealer in Graveyard and its Draw Effect is godly. Not to mention that Strategist is a Spellcaster which means Secret Village of the Spellcasters paired with this card becomes problematic for the opponent.

+1 Defender of the Ice Barrier

• Not gonna lie, but having this card is a must. This and Icejade Gymir along with Lancea to bring out Georgius which Summons this card makes an impenetrable Ice Barrier.

+3 Swap Frog

• Why did I not run this card earlier?! To anyone who wants to play Ice Barrier; You MUST run this card at maximum! This card is a free Summon which pitches Mirror Mage either by discarding from hand to Special Summon this card or sending from Deck to Graveyard. When Mirror Mage hits the Graveyard; you get a search for an Ice Barrier card.

+1 Monster Reborn

• Great Extender as well as a Reviver card for bring back a powerful monster previously destroyed.

+1 Secret Village of the Spellcasters

• Since some  Ice Barrier monsters are Spellcaster type; this card can be devastating for the opponent. This is better than Warlock because Warlock can easily be run over by a monster under 1600 ATK should Defender be out on the field and Secret Village is way better than Spellbreaker because she makes you go -1 in card advantage and her effect is not a Quick Effect; which means if you summon this card via via Lancea or Georgius during the opponent’s turn; you cannot lock them out of Spell Cards.

+1 Gozen Match

• Every Monster on your field will 100% be WATER. You will be unaffected by its effects while your opponent suffers massive disadvantage.

+1 White Aura Whale

• Decent Nuke as well as Piercing Damage Monster. Also it can revive itself.

-1 Zuijin of the Ice Barrier 

• There are cards that do a better job than what this card does.

-3 Shared Ride

• After experimenting with this card; I found myself to be bricking more than reaping its benefits. It is an alternative to Max “C”/Mulcharmy Package albeit a Not-So-Good variant, but cheap nonetheless.

-1 Crossout Designator 

• I found myself to be bricking more at multiple copies.

-3 Ice Barrier

• A good card: Great Battle Trap, Excellent generic WATER searcher. I wanted to run at 1 for Gameciel combo, but I couldn’t make room for it in a 40 card Main Deck.

-1 Bahamut Shark 

• With Swap Frog in this Deck List; It is not needed as Bahamut Shark’s only purpose is to summon Toadally Awesome. Swap Frog with Mirror Mage is a direct access to Toadally Awesome.
