Sharks are coming back with new support from Rage of the Abyss!
In the TCG, we have yet to be blessed with a release date for the new 'Seventh' cards that make the Shark deck go crazy. But if you are like me-- you have the itch to play sharks NOW.
Surfacing Big Jaws is the new best card in the deck, getting you instant access to other impressive Shark cards like Abyss shark. The trick here is getting his special summon effect online-- which can save your normal summon for something like Lifeless Leaffish!
Without the 'Seventh' cards to immediately start your plays, you will need access to some other good spells to help out Big Jaws. Upstart is a good start, giving you a free cycle. white reincarnation is also a helpful way to begin your turn, searching out a White Stingray to extend your board later. While on the topic of extension, White Mirror will surprise you with how much value it can get. If you have a good opportunity to use it early, don't hesistate: but it can surely get plenty of value later if targeting a monster like XYZ Remora, whose effect is NOT once per turn. Finally, the best option is always One for One. It can be used to get out a free Beautunaful Princess, getting you straight into Big Jaws.
As for end boards, this take on the deck aims for a similar board to any other you will find online. The Sharks have a ton of good XYZ monsters in their toolbox, so you can jusdge what to end on depending on your opponent's deck!
Of course, when the 'Seventh' cards do eventually drop in the TCG, I recommend you switch out the White Aura Engine and the Upstarts, they will fit all seven 'Seventh' cards you need perfectly. But-- If you are looking to get in some Shark action early, give this list a try!
