First off, this is easily one of - if not the stupidest version of a Dark World deck I've ever seen. The Fiendsmith engine now manages to give it so much consistency that it makes the entire deck both defensive and offensive, and the chances of you bricking is now only 1%.
So what makes Fiendsmith able to collaborate with Dark World?
Well, if you haven't noticed, the Fiendsmith archetype is consistent of Light Fiends, so it allows you to also work your way out with Fiendsmith's Tract and The Gates of Dark World, as the latter allows you to discard any Fiend, even Fabled Lurrie which you can just consistently loop over and over.
There are 3 main goals of this deck. The first, obviously, is the old Sillva and Ceruli combo with Akashic Magician which turns your opponent's hand size from 5 to 1. The second goal is to manage to have a Fiendsmith's Desirae on the field with both Fiendsmith's Requiem and Sequence equipped while having a Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World to make sure you have a backup plan in case your opponent does something. The other, third goal is to make an I:P Masquerena on the field while also being able to set up for S:P Little Knight, or at worst, Knightmare Unicorn or Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy.
Chaos Angel is also in the Extra Deck as Fabled Raven's effect raises it by a Level each time you discard a card, and with something like a Nessie or even Fiendsmith Engraver, you have a near-untouchable 3500 ATK (3800 ATK with The Gates of Dark World) beatstick. It stops a multitude of monsters and the only thing that can stop it is a Kaiju, Lava Golem or Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode.
So yeah, there's not really much else to say. Obviously, Dimension Shifter, Droll & Lock Bird and even Zombie World can be a problem as the latter stops the Fiendsmith Engine and prevents The Gates of Dark World from usage, while the former two are obvious. Should you not run into them, this deck will be overblown and have a ridiculous number of negates.
Other potential ways this deck could be improved:
- Thunder Dragon Colossus with Nemeses Corridor/Nemeses Flag
- Maybe swap Knightmare Gryphon for Number 60: Dugares the Timeless or Coach King Giantrainer? (Not recommended since there are 3 ways of you losing 2-3 monsters and not being able to draw more cards).
Much like with Dark Corridor, there are also 2 instead of 3 Fiendsmith Engravers because a 3rd one is a dead draw, as they all are once per turn. You could add another Danger! Bigfoot! if you want a Rank 8 monster, or maybe a Danger!? Tsuchinoko? for a free Link +1. Other than that, there's no other strategy.
