A new threat for our favorite lesbian nuns! After Stella stole Elis from her, Martha returns with the power of doomed yuri!
Ok folks, I was kidding. Still, I am really excited for the supports for this deck. The deck really needed new life, and now it's finally able to play, indipendently from an heavy gy meta or not. Still, of course, the deck will perform far better in that case.
But even if the supports are crazy, it still makes me mad that the Exos protection effects are useless most of the time, boardbreakers still give you an hard time, but at least now you have more breath space. Also, I know that the lore makes it make sense, but Konami was seriously scared about this deck becoming the new Floo. Martha locks you in Exosister special summons FOR THE WHOLE TURN, AND IT ALSO SUMMONS YOUR ONLY EXTENDER (until now, of course).
That aside...well, I don't want to lie folks. Right now, without the supports, the deck is dead in all formats, even in Genesys with the latest point update. Without them, Exosister heavily relies on non engine, which can't basically play anymore, while also forced to run full engine since you're not exactly consistent. But with Exosister Karmael and Exosister Bat Mater, eveything changes!
I mainly went for a going-first approach, with blowout cards in the side deck. If you don't plan to play the Rank 4 Toolbox and Donner (Which I really recommend, since you need to take off your field eventual Kaijus or Nib Tokens), you can play an Ultimate Slayer package. Eclipse Twins is also a nice tech option, especially for Karmael.
A single copy of both traps because you can set both with Karmael, also from both banished and graveyard, so you have no reason to play more. Crossout is also nice for Droll, and in the mirror you can use it to banish one of the traps while going second, to then set them again with Karmael.
No Shifter because I want to maximize the gy control effects, and I want to be able to trigger Exosister Pax second effect's as well.
Forbidden Crown is also insane for the deck, it can come in clutch to allow you to survive in worst case scenarios, or it can also be just a negate while going first.
Just one copy of Aratama because it's honestly your most risky card. Sure, it's one card combo, but what happens if you draw no spirits and it gets negated? That's right, you pass. And also, now it's also your worst starter, since it doesn't allow you to go Karmael before the fifth summon. So yeah, just one copy at best, but you can cut it.
If you have more questions about my trought process, ask ahead! I'll gladly answer all of them.
I was also considering Iron Thunder for backrow protection or for Dark Ruler No More if it were to become more prominent, but you already spend way too many life points.
Daigusto Emeral to me is a great option, since it allows you to put back your Exosister Elis and eventually Exosister Martha back in the deck.
Also, the door is open for more supports, since sooner or later they'll have to at least make a card in which Martha gets either defeated or purified, so...time to Wait and Hope!
