Do you remember the episode in YuGiOh anime, where Yugi and Haga battled on the train? There, Yugi went berserk with his soul, literally. If you want to do the same for funsies and nostalgia, this deck exactly does the same. If you are interested, keep reading:
- For starters, you should take a look at Synchro Summon lists. These will help you thin your Main Deck to find all combo pieces needed:
1) If you open up with Monk >>> Panda, this is how you can play with...
- Assuming that you have always spells to draw, this is how: Monk + Tuner = Librarian >>> Tuner + Non-Tuner = Formula >>> Formula + Non-Tuner = Martial >>> Martial brings Formula >>> Formula + Non-Tuner = Integrator >>> Martial + Integrator = Stardust >>> Stardust (Tuner due to Martial) + Non-Tuner = Ancient >>> Ancient pulls Level 1 Tuner >>> Ancient + Tuner = Accel >>> Accel pulls Formula >>> Formula + Non-Tuner = Shamisen >>> Shamisen + Non-Tuner = Cthugua >>> Bring Shamisen back onto the battlefield and shuffle Formula >>> Shamisen + Non-Tuner = Cthugua >>> Cthugua + Cthugua = Number 60 >>> Draw four cards with Number 40!
- Assuming that there is a chance you might brick, this is how: Monk + (Tuner + Non-Tuner = Formula) = Stardust >>> Stardust + Tuner = Ancient >>> Ancient pulls Panda/Monk to continue the chain with Librarian and other Synchro monsters.
2) If you start only with Panda, this is how you can play with:
- Tuner + Non-Tuner = Formula >>> Formula + Non-Tuner = Martial >>> Martial brings Formula >>> Formula + Non-Tuner = Integrator >>> Martial + Integrator = Stardust >>> Stardust (Tuner due to Martial) + Non-Tuner = Ancient >>> Ancient pulls Panda/Monk to continue the chain with Librarian and other Synchro monsters.
- Draw your deck until you reach the situation as illustrated below:
- Make sure your Main Deck consists of only Monsters. Spells or Traps aren't allowed. Fortunately, you can setup in advance by Link Summoning Saryuja and putting in 3 monsters when you have 4 cards in your Main Deck.
- On your side of the battlefield, have Saryuja + Panda + Chaos Emperor present but the more the merrier. Just have one free space for Neko, you will see why.
- Then, place ME-PSY-YA onto Pendulum Zone and set Primal Seed + Give and Take + Powerful Rebirth.
- After you have played "Into the Void", ensure you have Slifer + Neko + Berserker Soul + Primal Seed in your hand.
- End your turn whenever you are ready.
- On your opponent's turn (Draw Phase), activate "Powerful Rebirth" as first to target Neko in Attack Position and "Give and Take" as second to target Slifer. When the chain resolves, Slifer will destroy Neko placed in Attack Position by reducing its Attack Points by 2000 to make it zero and destroy Neko. Thus, your opponent will jump into End Phase and eventually, their turn has been skipped:
- To activate any trap even during Draw Phase of your opponent, change "Activation Confirmation" to "Switch+Hold" and set to "ON" in-game. You can edit to "Switch+Hold" in "Duel" section of settings page.
- It's your turn now. Time to setup "Berserker Soul":
- Your aim is to refill your Main Deck more of Main Monster cards. Since second "Primal Seed" was sent to Banish Zone (BZ) thanks to ME-PSY-YA, we can pick it up with set "Primal Seed" alongside "Pot of Avarice". Repeat "Primal Seed >>> Primal Seed + Pot of Avarice" pick maximum three times to play "Pot of Avarice" at most three times. If you haven't played "Pot of Acquisitiveness" beforehand, play it as well to shuffle three more Main Monster cards into your Main Deck.
- This play was needed to have at most 8 monsters in Main Deck to make the most use out of "Berserker Soul". At most, "Berserker Soul" can deal 500 x 8 = 4000 damage by delivering 8 monsters from your Main Deck into your GY.
- Alternatively, you can play "Pot of Generosity" as well for convenience to shuffle two monsters drawn by "Pot of Avarice" back into your deck. You can see in "Side Deck" section.
- When your Main Deck is refilled with Main Monsters, you can play "Primal Seed >>> Primal Seed + Berserker Soul" to pick "Berserker Soul". Now, you can start attacking:
- When you attack with Panda at last, you can roleplay with Yugi ?
- For extra damage, Normal Summon Panda whenever you can.
- Although you might argue it was an overkill, this setup was perfect if you have played 3 x "Upstart Goblin" cards. Here is why:
- Opponent: 11000 LP
- Board: Saryuja (2800) + Chaos Emperor (3000) + 300 (Boost from Saryuja to Chaos Emperor) + Panda (1100) = 7200 ATK
- Remaining: 11000 - 7200 = 3800 LP
- Berserker Soul: 3800 - (500 x 8) = 3800 - 4000 = Fatality.
