Where do I even begin? This deck is outrageously good. Even for my standards - this deck can turbo out negates like they were nothing. I have yet to feel so passionately about a deck like this. It's generic, strong and consistent
as hell! There will not be a time where you cant make
Cyber Dragon Infinity - and with the new indirect support announced, this deck will ruin your opponent and take you to the top! I'll be giving you a full breakdown on how to combo-off with this deck and vanquish your opponent off hope in just a few simple steps: trust me, it's as easy as ABC.
Before I give you a rundown on how the deck works; I'd like to go over the engines that I've decided to play in this undefeated union of cards. The main deck only consists of the primary four, with a sub-engine implemented as well. The engines are as follows: the ABC engine, the Gadget engine, the Symphonic engine & the Danger! engine. All are assigned with a basic focus in mind - establishing solid negates. The ABC engine has been implemented in order to, quite
obviously, turbo out your
ABC-Dragon Buster (the main card in the deck). This pairs nicely with the gadget engine, as using the effects of
Silver Gadget and
Gold Gadget respectively, you can special summon pieces of the fusion monster from your hand. The symphonic engine has simply been put there to get an extra level 5 on board - thats why the ratios between
Guitaar and
Miccs are 3/1. And of course the Danger! monsters are simply there to get a free body on board to go further into your link plays: making
I:P Masquarena or
Apollousa. The little 'sub-engine' I'm also referring to, is the triple
Galaxy Soldier that I run. I'm using the term very loosely, so its not really an engine and more rather just three cards that are searchable.
If you don't have a clue about the two new support cards -
Gizmek Yata &
Union Driver - what they do is allow you to both extend your ABC plays
and your Infinity combo. What Yata allows you to do is tribute your normal summoned monster and bring this card out onto the field. Then you can immediately after perform another normal summon, however you cannot summon monsters that are not the monster you just summoned's original type until the end phase. This is very good as it allows you to get a 2050, level five body on the field and perform
another normal summon, however, this card locks you out of your Danger! engine while also stopping you from playing your other crucial negates from the extra deck.
Union Driver's ability however is also very,
very broken! This card allows you to equip itself to a monster you control (preferably your
Assault Core,
Buster Drake or
Crush Wyvern) and then either a) unequip itself and special summon it to the field or b) banish itself from the field and equip a level 4 or lower monster from your deck thats a union type. This is obviously very good as it can make summoning ABC a lot easier, and since its level five you can also benefit off of its special summon ability.
In conclusion, this deck deserves a powerful and hard 8.7/10. It might not be as meta as it used to during the ancient times of Master Rule 3, but it still is a great competitor and quite frankly a big sleeper deck in the new format. I think it has very good odds on topping one or two regionals - especially if we get Union Driver imported into the TCG rather quickly. The only shame with this deck is its brick factor. You mainly want the field spell in order to properly combo off - but with the amount of monsters its not allows easy. I'd consider maybe running a
Set Rotation in the side deck along with a target in order to access it easier. I also know quite a few people that run Planet Pathfinder. While going through this build originally, I ran a few copies but it just seemed too cloggy and more like a waste of a normal rather than a searcher. Still, this deck is a force to be reckoned with - and will punish your opponent if needed!
