Here's the general idea :

We don't play generic trap card (e.x. Torrential, Ice prison, Compulse, etc.) because : a) they are unsearchable with traptrix monster, and b) we dont want to fill our GY with trap to keep "Treacherous Trap Hole" alive as long as possible.

Because "Treacherous Trap Hole" and "Break Off Trap Hole" is searchable you don't need to run multiple copies of board wipes card, so you could run more handtraps and going second cards which the deck really suffer.


Now, for cards and tech :

Main Deck Monster

"Traptrix Myrmeleo" is your one card combo, search Treacherous Trap Hole, link to Traptrix Sera and pass. Also its your built in S/T removal.

"Traptrix Dionaea" Most of the time you'll use her special summon effect to recycle your Normal Hole card to keep Treacherous Trap Hole alive, but in late game her Normal Summon is also good for free link 2 or xyz monster.

"Traptrix Mantis" Bounce back set card, might be a good option to safe your backrow from s/t removal and resetting traps from Traptrix Dionaea so it's not banished. Her normal summon was kinda irrelevant because Traptrix was a normal summon heavy deck.

"Traptrix Ginalloa" Extender, might be a good option if your normal summon get interrupted.

"Traptrix Nepenthes" You want this to be on field as fast as possible, because additional special summon is always welcome or to add Traptrix Dionaea to hand for follow up.

"Traptrix Atrax" Your trap protection, also with Traptrix Mantis on the field, you could basically activate trap the turn it was set.

"Traptrix Genlisea" Not included in main deck, but might worth mentioned because Traptrix Utricularia could prevent her set card from banished.


"Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju" & co. is your problem solving cards against non-target and non-destruction by card effect.

"Dinowrestler Pankratops" & "Alpha, the Master of Beasts" Big bodies, self explanatory. Also Alpha has interaction with kaiju to bounce it back to your hand.



"Pot of Prosperity"  Most of the time you may only want to banish 3 cards, because most of your win-con was in your extra deck.

"Temple of the Kings" Activate traps the turn it was set, allows you to gain advantage even on your first turn. Also give you more offensive ability during your opponent turn.

"Harpie's Feather Duster" Your only non-monster s/t removal. You might want to add more from side deck against s/t heavy deck.



"Treacherous Trap Hole" Your main board wipe and most of the time your first Hole card you search. With Temple of the Kings on the field, you could basically destroy up to 4 cards on the field.

"Break Off Trap Hole" Your second board wipe option. It's basically your one sided Torrential Tribute that do not destroy your normal Traptrix, though not as effective against link heavy deck.

"Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare" & "Chain Hole" Monster negation, basically.

"Floodgate Trap Hole" Flip cards permanently, good option for non-link card.

"Gravedigger's Trap Hole" Hit a lot of deck, set this with Temple of the Kings on the field to avoid interrupted during your first turn.

"Imperial Order" Best floodgates against spell heavy deck, also protect your s/t from most s/t removal.


Extra Deck Monster

"Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder" Board wipe, one of your win-con.

"Number S39: Utopia the Lightning" & Utopia Package. 5000 Atk beater, good option against most boss monster. The utopia package is for 4 material Zeus or Lightning.

"Evilswarm Exciton Knight" Basically mini Zeus, good board wipe option if you couldn't attack with your xyz.

"Traptrix Allomerus" Convert 2 Parallel eXceed into Traptrix monster to make link 1 or link 2, we don't care about her second effect.

"Traptrix Rafflesia" Your best defensive option, and also an interuption.

"Borrelsword Dragon" Your primary win-con. Could also trigger Break Off Trap Hole to clean up the board for you OTK the opponent.

"Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax" Your defensive boss option, protect your girls from being attacked.

"I:P Masquerena" Allow you to make Avramax and Borrelsword indestructible by cards effect.

"Traptrix Utricularia" You might want to summon her as soon as possible, as she could keep your trap from hitting GY. Also with Temple of the Kings on the field, you could basically activate traps twice.

"Traptrix Sera" The main character of Traptrix, Generates advantage for you to grind the enemy.


Basic Combo :

Any Traptrix + Parallel eXceed : (Preferably either Nepenthes, Atrax, or Mantis) Normal summon Nepenthes, link Sera, activate Parallel eXceed, xyz to Allomerus, summon back Nepenthes, Sera set Treacherous, link to Utricularia. End phase bring back Nepenthes. Next turn, after you activate Treacherous, flip it back. Nepenthes and Sera SS Mantis and Atrax, Mantis bounce Treacherous back to hand, and now you can activate Treacherous again from hand.

Myrmeleo + Temple of the Kings : Normal summon Myrmeleo, search Break Off Trap Hole, activate Temple, set Break Off, Link to Sera, Activate Break Off, Sera SS Dionaea, Set Break Off, Sera set Treacherous. Now you can either SS Utricularia so you could activate Treacherous twice or leave it as it is to have Treacherous + any Hole Sera could search afterward.

    I think, honestly, that you could add a Paleozoic or two in there. Other than that and perhaps a backup strategy in case the primary fails, you nailed the deck.

    The handtraps + kaiju Alpha (9 cards total) is your free slot basically, feel free to change it depends on your matchup.
