A Dark Magician deck that has a little bit of everything (well, almost).
"You dare fight me with fruit!?"
The Magician Girls help bring out Predaplant Verte Anaconda by swarming the field in addition to providing material for Fusion Summoning The Dark Magicians and/or Quintet Magician by virtue of having different names. Chocolate Magician Girl can provide draw power and GY setup. When she's attacked, she can summon a spellcaster from your GY to not only weaken your opponent's monster, but to also combo with other cards present in this deck.
For example, you can summon Dark Magician after discarding him for a draw to activate a Dark Magical Circle on your opponent's turn. You could also bring back an Apprentice Illusion Magician in order to fetch a Dark Magician from your hand. Then you could activate Eternal Soul on your opponent's turn to summon that Dark Magician and activate Dark Magical Circle. Chocolate Magician Girl has terrific utility and can provide some recursion. Worst case scenario, you'll be able to keep your opponent at bay for a turn so you can draw the card(s) you need to turn the duel around.
Berry Magician Girl can search your other Magician Girls in addition to providing another body when attacked or when she becomes the target of a card effect. Don't know what to search and to summon on the first turn of the duel? No problem!
- If you have Dark Magician Girl in your hand, search for Chocolate Magician Girl and summon Lemon Magician Girl.
- If you have Chocolate Magician Girl in your hand, search for Dark Magician Girl and then summon either Lemon Magician Girl (if you have no valid targets in your GY) or Apple Magician Girl (if you do).
- If you have Apple Magician Girl in your hand, search Dark Magician Girl and summon Lemon Magician Girl.
- If you have Lemon Magician Girl in your hand, search Dark Magician Girl and then summon Apple Magician Girl. Remember that you can chain each of the Magician Girl monsters' effects to continuously redirect your opponent's monster's attacks. So what you can do when your opponent launches an attack is Apple Magician Girl -> Lemon Magician Girl -> Dark Magician Girl.
- If you're unfortunate and open with Lemon Magician Girl and Apple Magician Girl both, then search Chocolate Magician Girl and summon Dark Magician Girl.
Apple Magician Girl is the least useful of the bunch, but she is a name that can unlock Quintet Magician's effect, and she can recycle your other Magician Girls, namely Chocolate Magician Girl, Dark Magician Girl, and Lemon Magician Girl. Lemon Magician Girl can help summon Dark Magician on your opponent's turn, which in-turn can activate the effect of Dark Magical Circle. Do remember that monsters summoned by Lemon Magician Girl have their effects negated, so you really only want to summon either Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl - if you can help it. That said, Lemon Magician Girl can potentially search out cards like Magicians' Souls by tributing a Magician Girl after she has summoned it through her effect. It's not something that will come up too often though, and ideally you'd want to tribute a Apple Magician Girl, a Berry Magician Girl, or a Dark Magician Girl.
Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon is run as a means of dealing with heavy backrow. He can also be summoned on the first turn to burn the opponent for 500 points of damage each time they activate a card effect. This can put pressure on the opponent. The best part is that Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon's effect to bounce back spells and traps cannot be responded to. It's also level seven, which can allow you to Xyz Summon Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. It can also be used as material to Fusion Summon Dark Magician the Dragon Knight or Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight, depending on the situation. Keep in mind that Secrets of Dark Magic is a Quick-Play Spell. This means you can Ritual Summon Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon at the end of your opponent's turn to cripple their field.
Trap Trick is run to fetch Infinite Impermanence, a fantastic trap card that can stop monster effects and potentially spell and trap card effects as well if they are in the same column. Worst case scenario, Trap Trick can bait out a negate. Necro Fusion can also be run either alongside Infinite Impermanence or as a replacement if you want more ways of bringing out Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. Speaking of Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon...
Magicalized Fusion can also help bring out Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon - not just Quintet Magician. It can even bring out a second Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon for double the trouble! Instant Fusion can provide material to Link Summon Verte Anaconda in a pinch. This deck runs Millennium-Eyes Restrict as a target for Instant Fusion because it has a Called by the Grave effect that can put a stop to cards like Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring first turn. You could also choose to run Thousand-Eyes Restrict if you want additional monster removal. You could even run both alongside a Relinquished Anima to help pick apart your opponent's field. Instant Fusion Thousand-Eyes Restrict to snatch an opponent's monster and then link it away to bring Relinquished Anima to suck up another.
Time Wizard of Tomorrow is also run because it help clear your opponent's field of monsters. It's a bit risky, but it's well worth the potential blowback. It's not something that comes up too often, but you could even use your Instant Fusion targets as sacrifices to Tribute Summon Apprentice Illusion Magician if you can't afford to discard a card to Special Summon her. Her effect also activates when she is Normal Summoned. Finally, your Instant Fusion targets can be used as material to Fusion Summon The Dark Magicians.
Keeping Your Options Open
Upstart Goblin - Can be used after you have stacked the deck with either Soul Servant or Dark Magical Circle to maximize your card advantage and to provide some additional draw power.
Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended - It's a level seven dragon that can bounce back an opponent's Special Summoned monster in addition to being a hand trap that can protect your monsters.
Withcrafter Golem Aruru - Provides protection. In addition, if you summon it via Chocolate Magician Girl, it can be bounced back to your hand for reuse. It's also another target for Magicians' Souls effect.
Fusion Deployment - Special Summons Dark Magician, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, or Dark Magician Girl from your hand or deck. Not only will this activate cards such as Dark Magical Circle and make Magicians' Combination live, but it will also make bringing out any one of your Fusion Monsters easier.
Kiwi Magician Girl - A tough card to make room for, but she can protect your spellcasters from card effects. You can pitch her to activate Chocolate Magician Girl's effect and then summon her on your opponent's turn, or you can summon her off Apple Magician Girl or Berry Magician Girl.
Magician of Chaos - Becomes "Dark Magician" while on the field or in the GY. It also has synergy with Chocolate Magician Girl and can help dismantle your opponent's field if you can make it stick around long enough.
Magician's Restage - Can Special Summon your level three and below spellcasters and can be sent to the GY via Magicians' Souls effect to not only draw more cards, but to also grab a Magician's Right Hand or a Magician's Left Hand.
Mana Dragon Zirnitron - A dragon that helps take the sting off a removed Eternal Soul and can recycle it in addition to a removed Dark Magical Circle.
Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay - Yet another level seven dragon that can not only Special Summon itself if your opponent controls a Link Monster in addition to providing much needed draw power, but can also help refresh your hand by getting rid of cards you don't want or need.
Dark Magician of Chaos - A spellcaster that can recycle a spell card. You can either summon it off Chocolate Magician Girl's effect or you can run a copy of Dedication Through Light and Darkness to summon it from just about anywhere, provided you have a Dark Magician on the field.
Magician Navigation - Provides yet another means of summoning Dark Magician. You can activate this card to summon two copies of Dark Magician and then overlay them to Xyz Summon Ebon Illusion Magician or Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. You could also summon Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl and then combo it into Dark Burning Magic for an easy field wipe. You could pitch it to summon Apprentice Illusion Magician and then use its GY affect to shut down one of your opponent's spell or trap cards.
Dark Magic Veil - A versatile spell card that can summon any one of your DARK spellcasters to help extend your plays, all for the cost of a measly 1000 LP.
Magicians' Defense - A trap card that can potentially stave off OTKs. It's real value lies in the fact that when it is sent from the field to the GY, you can summon a spellcaster straight from the GY. The best part is that it doesn't care how it's sent to the GY, so you could pitch it via Magicians' Souls to not only summon a Dark Magician, but to also draw a card.
