Hi, Grayewick the Fusionist here, back with one of my most hated decks ever made by Konami and one of the most mind-numbing decks to play, Swordsoul... and Tenyi. Except Tenyis are cool, **** Swordsoul though.
"Why play this deck?"
If you're gonna ask me personally, I wouldn't recommend playing this to anyone because of despite how much this archetype have broken their own summoning mechanic - much like Drytrons Ritual Summoning using Levels, Zoodiacs Xyz summoning without using monsters of the same Level, and Tri-Brigades cheating out their Link monsters - by SYNCHRO SUMMONING WITH TOKENS AS TUNERS, OF WHICH THEIR STARTERS AND EXTENDERS ALL COULD DO, I cannot ******* STAND how much they could get away with that ********, but Fusion archetypes are still getting backlash for receiving their own Shaddoll Fusion because apparently, "it's too convenient", but the former cases were not. I just really want to have an excuse to rant about this bland-***, absolute one tone taste of a deck. I've never seen a deck that's as easier to build as Swordsoul. Anyway, the list.
Main Deck:
Disclaimer: I'll only explain the archetypal cards because I really don't like talking about this deck. I've really tried not falling asleep as I was typing all of these so, yeah. I might make a few exceptions along the way though, if I find something that's ACTUALLY interesting.
Monsters
• Let's tune with tokens because, **** it why not? - Nothing much in-depth to talk about this one, because honestly there's really not much depth in playing Swordsoul. If you felt insulted, good. I don't care.
Swordsoul of Mo Ye- Insert Important Playlist. Your main starter. Normal/Special Summon her, reveal a "Swordsoul" card or a Wyrm monster from your hand to make a token tuner, then Synchro 8... that's really it. I guess she also draws you a card when used as Synchro Material but that's only relevant for chain blocking Chi Xiao, your opponent's never gonna Ash it. If they did, they're either someone who hasn't played Yu-Gi-Oh in a long time, or they're an idiot.
Swordsoul of Taia - Your main extender. Ignition effect to banish a "Swordsoul" card or a Wyrm monster in your GY to summon a token tuner, you already know how this goes. If he's sent to the GY as Synchro Material, he Foolish Burials a "Swordsoul" card or a Wyrm monster from the Deck.
Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan - Your secondary starter. He makes Baronne De Fleur. That's really all there is to know about him. I guess he also burns your opponent when used as Synchro Material but who ******* cares.
Then the DPE engine. It's also quite funny that they've pre-hit Fusion Destiny to 2 but yeah who cares lol, it's a Verte pay-off.
Extra Deck:
• Swordsoul Grandmaster Chixiao - Synchro this to search any "Swordsoul" card you need. Usually made with Mo Ye anyway, so it's either Longyuan for Baronne or Emergence for Protos. It's also has an Infinite Impermanence effect by banishing a "Swordsoul" card or a Wyrm monster in your GY.
• Crimson Blader - The terror of the Dragon Ruler format.
Final Thoughts:
As you can see, I'm not very enthusiastic about this deck. No disrespect if you like it (but taking it that way is very much welcome), but almost all players that play Drytron, Zoodiacs, Tri-Brigade, and Swordsoul that I've met are all sweaty tryhards who think they're so good at the game just by association of piloting the said decks. I just don't enjoy decks that does not make me want to think. It's one of those decks that I can play on a bad day and still win because it just plays itself, much like the other three. Play it if you want, I could not care any less. As per usual, if you have any questions or thoughts, feel free to express them down in the comments and I'll respond to them as soon as I possibly can (I mean in this case, I'd rather not but I still do enjoy interacting with you guys so, yeah. Questions about anything that isn't related to this list is also very much welcome.).
Are you sure you wish to delete this deck? Once a deck is deleted, it cannot be
retrieved.
