The deck is based on the generic Mayakashi Synchro-climb strategy with lots of additional extenders that synergize well with it, and boost its speed and dynamics. It consists of usual support for the Zombie-type monsters, along with the cards that help the Mayakashi archetype. The main idea is to fill your GY with as many Synchro monsters as possible via the Synchro-climb to get them out during your opponents turn for the pops and interrupts.
The idea is to get Hajun out as soon as possible, who will call out Dakki and ensure the Synchro-climb. Since this strategy is easily interrupted with hand-traps, you should use Called by the Grave to ensure the combo. Trap Cards, such as Mayakashi Metamorphosis and Call of the Haunted, are there to revive monsters you used for the climb and get their effects, while Torrential Tribute is used to not only clear the field, but get a Synchro out from the GY using its own effect, which is most commonly used on Yuki-Onna to get Gashadokuro out and make him unaffected for a turn.
The deck has quite a lot of cards that activate their effects from the GY, and works as extenders for certain combos, such as Shiranui Spectralsword that allows an additional Synchro-climb. Orbital Hydralander works incredibly well with this archetype since it can Special Summon itself for one Synchro-climb, and ensure extra pops during the opponent's turn while also setting up the GY with more monsters that get their effects there, such as Fairy Tail Snow and Mezuki. Usual ways to fill your GY with these cards is either by discarding them for the cost (Mayakashi Metamorphosis), or sending them there directly from the deck using Gozuki and Uni-Zombie.
