The idea of this deck is simple. Get all Forbidden One pieces in your hand during your first turn.
Royal Magical Library is a great help in that, and this deck focuses more than most other Exodia decks on making sure we have it on the field on your first turn. Piri Reis Map does exactly that. It does get negated by Ash Blossom, but as long as the opponent doesn't have that, it's another way to get Royal Magical Library on your field as soon as possible, to help with drawing cards.
Another thing that isn't common in decks like this is the use of Double Summon. Why use one Royal Magical Library when you can use two? If you can get both out, it can bring out so much advantage. This deck can have hands you cannot play with sometimes, but if you can manage to get two Royal Magical Library on the field, it's nearly always possible to have multiple cards you can play.
Foolish Burial Goods is in the deck to send Cursed Bamboo Sword to the GY. Doing so allows you to activate Cursed Bamboo Sword's final effect, usually to add Golden Bamboo Sword to your hand. If you already have that but no Equip Spell Bamboo Sword, you could add the one copy of Broken Bamboo Sword as well.
