ayo some advice for shane if I may. Turned out to be a lot of text, I highlighted the cards I’m talking about to make it, hopefully, a little easier to follow.
I’m assuming this is a deck in the scope of what’s possible irl so I’ll keep it liberal.
You’re gonna lock yourself out of the anything but WATER very early on and besides Cynet Mining you’re not gonna resolve an effect without a monster on board. Gamma is nice going second but if you’re going first this card is dead 90.2% of the time. I’d suggest Ghost Ogre or Droll & Lock Bird instead. They’re cheap and currently good handtraps.
Imperm is better than Effect Veiler let’s start with that. However since your boss monster is Bubble Reef and you’ll be drawing cards on your opponent’s turn Imperm would be a dead card off of Bubble Reef. In Marincess pre-support Veiler is doing a lot more for the deck than imperm is. Should also be a very cheap handtrap. Of course instead of Veiler this could be the other half of Ghost Ogre/Droll.
Marincess Sea Horse is one of your best cards! That one needs to be at three. Yeah it’s a few bucks but if you’re going for this deck paying an extra 2 bucks is well worth the consistency. Sea Horse, Blue Tang and Cynet Mining are you’re 1-card combos into Bubble Reef an any other extender past them allows for a combo using Crystal Heart. Make it a three card combo with one fo the extenders and you get yourself a Toadally on top.
Deep Sea Sentry isn’t doing a whole lot for this deck. There’s always a better card to special summon with Coral Anemone and a better card to normal summon than her (literally any Marincess).
Without Driver (since any other playset of a handtrap only requires 3 cards, not the 4 the gamma-driver package requires) and Sentry you already have 2 slots remaining. I’d use those for Silent Sea Nettle, another level 4 extender. Imo the best out of the bunch, too.
Droll is a thing and even though Cynet Mining and Blue Tang can add you a card before resolving Sea Angle to add Battle Ocean you can easily play around Droll if you choose by not activating Tang’s effect in the GY or Cynet Mining at a later time if your hand allows. For that reason I’d sugget cutting Upstart (Droll is pretty common rn) for a copy of Called By The Grave. Allows to play through handtraps and is pretty good as a set card rn, too.
For the Extra Deck I think the Zeus line won’t come up often and there are other XYZs that will be game-changing more often but that’s up to you. If you wanna give some a go, I recommend Abyss Dweller and Number 4: Stealth Kragen (no need for Kragen Spawn).
The one thing you do need – and I mean need – is a second copy of Marincess Coral Anemone. She’s such a strong card, functioning as both extension and recursion and will be part of pretty much every combo. If you’re giving up on the zeus line you can simply add a second copy of Anemone in addition to Dweller and Kragen, otherwise I suggest cutting the Wonder Heart. Wonder Heart ain’t great before the new support anyways. Not having 2 Coral Anemone will bite you in the butt pretty much every game.
