Surprisingly consistent against pre link/pendulum decks.
Idea is to adopt a duel strategy of searching and drawing Exodia pieces. Use torrential tribute to destroy your own monsters if your opponent won't do it, especially useful when combined with double summons. If your opponent does manage to summon a heavy-hitter - mystic mine will lock them to an extent, allowing you time to gather the pieces. Swift scarecrow can also be your last line of defence.
Always magic mallet if you do not have any Exodia pieces in hand. The only cards you don't want to shuffle back in with a mallet on the first turn is trader/supply-squad/tribute.
Probably the most OP card is draw of fate - lets you stack 3 pieces of exodia on top and if you have a cardcar in hand.
