Zombie Slifer_ Zombie Osiris

Enjoy this creation of mine: Zombified Osiris !!! (First of all I would like to clarify something. This Zombie Deck with the Ghost and P.U.N.K. engine is based on the Decks of some youtubers whose Account names and links to their videos I will post later in this comment. I am very grateful to them for posting those videos and for trying to build a more competitive zombie Deck with the P.U.N.K. and the new Ghost engine. The idea of adding Osiris aka Slifer however, as well as the strategy to keep zombified Osiris on the field, is entirely my idea. In fact I posted another deck some time ago, which already revolved on Osiris and explained the strategy of summoning and keeping him on the field as a Zombie. Just like I did for the other Deck that I posted, I will explain the crazy and wonderful thing I found out about the interaction of Slifer the Sky Dragon and Doomking Balerdroch as well as the consequences of zombifying Slifer)

(The Japanese name of Slifer the Sky Dragon is オシリスの 天 てん 空 くう 竜 りゅうOshirisu no Tenkūryū, Sky Dragon of Osiris. I love to use the original name of what many know as "Slifer" because it makes way more sense since it is supposed to be an egyptian God card and Osiris was indeed one of them, more precisely the one that according to the myth was murdered by his younger brother Set, brought back to life by his sister-wife Isis and became the lord of death and rebirth. When they translated this card into english they decided to name this card after Roger SliferSlifer, one of the 4Kids producers of the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! and so this card became known as "Slifer the Sky Dragon" or "Slifer the Executive Producer". Another interesting fact is that just like the Osiris of the myth this deck is based on reviving the Sky Dragon Osiris in order to use his power.)

I will tell you the story of how I came up with the idea of zombifying Osiris. I was trying to make Osiris stronger, untouchable even. I was using Shiranui Style Success for my Skull Servant deck and I thought "mhm it would be great if I could use it on Osiris to make him invincible". The thing is, as you surely know, Shiranui Style Success can only be used on Zombie monsters and so I thought "wait I only need to zombify Osiris with Zombie World!". After that I started creating this Deck and realized that after zombifying Osiris and making him a Zombie in the graveyard I could bring him back easily with Book of Life or Mezuki or other zombie monsters or spell cards that revive zombies from the graveyard. By special summoning Osiris however there was another problem to solve: his effect (like all the other egyptian god cards) that says that if he is special summoned you have to send him to the graveyard at the End Phase. In order to solve that and have Osiris on my field during my opponents turn (so that I can make use of his effect that says that every monster my opponent summons in attack position looses 2000 Atk points and gets destroyed if it comes to 0 Atk points because of this effect) I could revive him with call of the haunted but even a better strategy was reviving him during my opponents turn with Red-Eyes Zombie Lord. As you will see, it is very easy to summon Red-Eyes Zombie Lord with this deck thanks to Uni-Zombie and Spiridao but also Mad Mauler and Balerdroch. However what I found out next really shocked me. I had  Doomking Balerdroch as well as Osiris on my field and When Osiris´ effect activated I realized I could negate it with Balerdroch. Osiris´ effect states "Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was special summoned send it to the graveyard." Here I would like to emphasize the "Once per turn". Do you realise what this means? Yes exactly, after negating this effect once, Osiris will remain on the field even after the End Phase. So as long as you have not already used Balerdroch´s effect to negate another monster´s effect this turn or you have another monster negate on the field you can use it to make Osiris stay on the field forever. This interaction is truly marvellous. Another one is that after reviving Osiris, if you have Shiranui Style success in your graveyard, you can remove it from the graveyard in order to make him unaffected by other card effects.

As you may imagine, the primary target of this Deck is having Osiris on our field on the enemy turn and with this deck this is very easy to achieve. What you need to do however, is create a board of negations that will protect Osiris from what your opponent may do in order to destroy it. The key to sending Osiris in the graveyard is by using the effect of Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal. Summoning her is thanks to the Ghost engine very easy. What you want to achieve is summoning Beatrice, Adamancipator Risen-Dragite, Red-eyes Zombie Dragon Lord, Doomking Balerdroch and Slifer the Sky Dragon in one turn as well as having Alghoul Mazera and Shiranui style success in the graveyard, thus having 1 spell or trap negate (Dragite), one monster negate and one monster banish (Balerdroch), one destruction protection for all the monsters on your field (Alghoul Mazera), your zombified Osiris of course (Which in itsef is a powerdul floodgate) and the possibility to make Osiris uneffected by card effects (Shiranui Style success) . I wont explain all the combos here, since the youtubers by which I was inspired already show them in their videos but I will tell you the different priority I have by playing this deck and the combos I do in order to play revolving on zombified Osiris. With Ghost Wyvern and Ghost fusion you summon Garura Spiridao and then Beatrice. With the P.U.N.K. engine you concentrate on summoning Dragite, which is very easy to do if you dont get interrupted and use their fusion Rising Carp. With the help of Mezuki and either Uni-Zombie or other combinations (for example Foxy and assault synchron or Foxy and Mad Mauler by reducing the level of Dragite etc..) you summon Red-eyes Zombie Dragon Lord. At the end face, since you removed Ghost Wyvern in order to summon Spiridao you cna send Glow-Up Bloom thus summoning Balerdroch. If you couldnt send Osiris to the Graveyard in your Turn you can just send it in the standbyfase of your enemy turn or If you already did you can send Shiranui Style Success or Alghoul Mazera. You have a pretty strong Board but making Osiris uneffected by other card effects really is the best thing you can do. If you have Questions about the combos please contact me on Discord. I really have no time right now to write them all here XD. If you go first in your second or third game you can use Rivalry of Warlords. Rivalry of Warlords together with Zombie World is a very powerful floodgate since the combination of these two cards zombifies every monster on the field as well as in the graveyards and this doesnt allow your opponent to summon other monsters (from the hand or from the extra deck) if he has at least one face-up monster on the field (because if he doesnt play zombies, which is almost always the case, he will have monsters of other types in the hand and in his extra deck and he won´t be able to summon them). Zombie World by itself is also a powerful floodgate since it doesn´t allow to tribute summon except for zombie monster thus stopping the floowandereeze players. But not only that, many decks rely on the type of their archetype and since every monster on the fields as well as in the graveyards are zombified, they are stopped from doing many of their combos. Super Poly as well as the Kaiju are there to help you break boards. I used a Dark Kaiju in my main on purpose in order to facilitate the use of Super poly by giving my opponent a dark monster thus increasing the odds of having 2 Dark monsters on my opponents Field. If your opponent doesnt use Dark monsters you cna swap the kaiju in your main with the Kaiju with the same Attribute of the monsters your opponent uses in order to increase the odds of being able to summon Mudragon or Garura with Superpoly. You can also swap them for handtraps but I find these boardpreakers better since you can use Superpoly also as an extender. You can also use Dark Ruler No More or more Kaijus. Other Extra Deck Options are Chaos Angel, Psychic End Punisher, Vampire Fascinator, Yuki-Onna The Absolute Zero Mayakashi, Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon, Apollousa Bow of the Goddess, Bystial Dis Pater, The Zombie Vampire, Accesscode Talker, Number 38: Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy, PSY-Framelord Omega, Number 23: Lancelot Dark Knight of the Underworld and Underworld Goddess of the Closed World as well as more Super Poly Targets like World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke, Predaplant Dragostapelia and Predaplant Triphyoverutum. With this Deck you can summon a level 10 Synchro easily, so I would recommend using Baronne de Fleur.

Beside that I think the other combos are pretty self-explanatory and already known especially for someone that is accustomed to playing Zombie Decks. The Side Deck I made is just a suggestion based on the current meta. You can modify it in order to better adapt it to the current meta. In general I tried to make this Deck the most competitive possible but you can also make a more "for fun" version of it. I hope you found my Zombie Osiris Deck inspiring. I really love this Deck and I hope many others will play this Deck in the future and make it even more powerful with other great ideas and strategies. After all, this is what I like the most about Yu-Gi-Oh!, after years from its creation it still doesn´t cease to amaze and entertain us.
