Power: Low Rogue (7.3/10) - TCG-legal and Link Evolution friendly. Stronger than before, but still Low Rogue because Fang of Critias needs specific trap names and is narrower than true high-rogue engines.
Consistency: Good. Ahrima, Terraforming, Metaverse, and Lair find the field spell. Lilith and Trap Trick reach Mirror Force, Crush Card, Tyrant Wing, or Metaverse. Soul Servant and Magicians' Souls keep the Yugi/Dark Magician package useful.
Ceiling: Moderate-high. Fang turns live traps into Mirror Force Dragon, Doom Virus Dragon, or Tyrant Burst Dragon. Lair makes enemy monsters DARK for Lilith, Diabolos, Virus traps, and Super Polymerization into Starving Venom or Mudragon.
Recovery: Solid. Lair makes tokens, Diabolos recurs when DARK monsters are tributed, Souls loads Dark Magician for Eternal Soul, and Soul Servant fixes draws. Losing Lair still slows many lines.
Going first/second: Best going first with Lair, Lilith, Trap Trick, Virus traps, Mirror Force, Eternal Soul, Ash, or Called By. Going second, Super Poly, Evenly, Nibiru, Cosmic, Lancea, Droll, and Feather Duster help break boards.
Choke points: Remove Lair before tribute effects resolve, stop Lilith before she sets a trap, chain removal to Trap Trick targets, banish Dark Magician before Eternal Soul, or force Fang before the right trap is ready.
Key cards: The Fang of Critias, Mirror Force, Crush Card Virus, Tyrant Wing, Lair of Darkness, Lilith, Ahrima, Darkest Diabolos, Trap Trick, Metaverse, Magicians' Souls, Super Polymerization, Mirror Force Dragon, Doom Virus Dragon.
Key combos: Trap Trick sets the needed Critias or Virus trap. Fang plus Mirror Force makes Mirror Force Dragon; Fang plus Crush Card makes Doom Virus Dragon; Fang plus Tyrant Wing makes Tyrant Burst Dragon. Lair plus Lilith turns opposing monsters into trap access, while Lair plus Super Poly turns DARK boards into fusion removal.
