Power: High Rogue (8.3/10) - Fully TCG-legal for the current list while staying inside the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution card pool. The deck lost extra copies of Solemn Judgment and There Can Be Only One, plus Red Reboot from the side, but it keeps High Rogue status because Subterror Guru, The Hidden City, Fiendess, Final Battle, Pot of Extravagance, and dense trap interaction still form a compact and proven control shell.
Consistency: Excellent. Three Guru, three Hidden City, Terraforming, Pot of Extravagance, Pot of Duality, and a low-monster control structure make the main engine easy to access. Infinite Impermanence replaces illegal floodgate density without adding bricks, while Book of Moon, Crackdown, Compulsory, Solemn Strike, and Final Battle keep hands live even when Guru is delayed.
Ceiling: Strong for an identity-retaining Bakura deck. The best setup is Hidden City plus Guru plus Final Battle, backed by Fiendess protection and layered traps. The deck does not build huge combo boards; it wins by turning every set card into a threat, stealing momentum with Crackdown, and forcing the opponent to play through repeated flips, negates, bounces, and battle manipulation.
Recovery: Strong. Final Battle resets itself, Hidden City and Guru keep the Subterror loop moving, Fiendess protects key monsters, and Pot of Extravagance reloads when the game slows down. Because the deck spends cards defensively, losing both Guru and Final Battle together is the main way it falls behind.
Going first/second: Best going first. Establish Guru, Hidden City, Final Battle, Solemn Strike, Solemn Judgment, There Can Be Only One, Crackdown, Compulsory, or Infinite Impermanence and make the opponent answer each layer one at a time. Going second, the side deck brings Super Polymerization, Evenly Matched, Dinowrestler Pankratops, Twin Twisters, Cosmic Cyclone, Lancea, and Droll.
Choke points: Stop The Hidden City or Guru before the first search resolves, remove Final Battle before the loop is protected, force Fiendess early, and pressure the backrow before committing your main engine. Backrow removal chained at the right moment is often stronger than trying to fight every trap individually.
Key cards: Subterror Guru, The Hidden City, Subterror Fiendess, Subterror Final Battle, Subterror Behemoth Umastryx, Pot of Extravagance, Pot of Duality, Infinite Impermanence, Solemn Strike, Solemn Judgment, There Can Be Only One, Crackdown, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Super Polymerization.
Key combos: Hidden City searches Guru, then Hidden City flips Guru face-up to search Fiendess or Final Battle. Guru plus Final Battle creates the repeatable flip-control loop. Fiendess protects the setup while keeping Subterror pressure alive. Crackdown steals a monster, Book of Moon or Final Battle changes battle math, and Compulsory resets problem monsters. Side-deck Super Polymerization converts opposing boards into Mudragon, Starving Venom, or Dragostapelia without targeting.
