You really don't want to have Haine or Verre in your hand tbh. It isn't game over if you do get them because Pittore exists, just make sure you ditch them asap. Haine is typically a better starter monster to end on then Verre, but if you can get both then that's perfect. Make sure you get Schmietta in the GY early on to banish so you can have Bystreet ready to go at all times, the deck simply wouldn't work without it.
Before doing ANYTHING, if you have Instant Fusion, summon Millennium-Eyes. This will save you from any stray hand traps the opponent may use. Beware of Called by the Graves. Them hitting you when you pop off Schmietta is borderline game ending. If you play correctly, you can typically out grind most if not all your opponent's moves, thanks to Witchcrafter's amazing recovery.
Reasoning is the nuts. Activate it only when you know you aren't going to get ashed because you don't want that to be wasted.
