White Forest + Angelechy
This version of White Forest trades out the Azamina package for the Angelechy engine, which you can easily bridge to through the lvl 8 synchro Glitch Clutch Nullgainer. This monster searches out the TCG exclusive Witness of the Ancient, which can set 3 Angelechy to your backrow. With only the first wave of Angelechy to choose from, the options you will typically pick are Shatranga, Bastion, and Destrier.
However, you can choose to place only 2 monster instead and still end up with the 3 Angelechy monsters in your backrow due to Bastion's effect. The reason you would choose to do this is because Witness of the Ancient will summon a token with a level based on the amount of monsters you summoned. This means you can decide if you want a lvl 2 or 3 token, which paired with Witness itself can give you the freedom to go into a lvl 10 or 11 synchro. The best options I found were Juraishin, Psychic End Punisher, or Chaos Angel, but you may have a different preference. You can also go for Ultimya Tzolkin for Crystal Wing, but I prefer the other options.
The typical play after setting Destrier in the back row is to search the field spell and then use it to set a second copy of Destrier since their burn effect stacks; however, another option you could do is set another Bastion instead. This would allow them both to protect each other from destruction, ensuring that your Shatranga and Destrier floodgate effecets remain uncontested.
Centur-ion Auxila is also here to help better protect your backrow. Since Auxila can search a card on summon, you can run Centur-ion Phalanx or Awakening if you want the negate, but they are not necessary. To be honest, you'll find your self running out of back row space quite often, so you may not want to run either. (I tried a Centur-ion Angelechy deck and found this version more optimal. Centur-ion wants backrow spaces so they can synchro on the opponents turn, but the Angelechy cards naturally limit those options.)
As for combos, both Silvy and Elzette lead to the same end board and are basically interchangeable. I'll use Elzette for my step guide below.
The typical 1.5 card combo is as follows:
1. Send a spell/trap to summon Elzette of the WF and then add Silvy to hand
2. Normal Summon Silvy and search Tales of the WF
3. Synchro summon Rciela using Silvy and Elzette. Use Rciela's effect to send Tales of the WF to the GY and add Elzette, Azamina of the WF to hand from deck.
4. Trigger Tales of the WF effect in GY to set itself to the field
5. Activate Tales of the WF to add Diabellze the White Witch from deck to hand. (NOTE: need to do this at this moment since you need a illusion or spellcaster on field for the search effect. One of the next steps synchros away Rciela so you can miss this window if you don't use it)
6. Reveal Elzette Azamina in hand and special it to the field
7. Synchro into Glitch Clutch Nullgainer using Rciela and Elzette Azamina
8. Chain link 1: activate Nullgainer's effect to add Witness of the Ancients to hand; Chain Link 2: activate Elzette Azamina's effect to add Diabellstar Vengeance to hand (this card is much easier to summon in this version of the deck since you will usually have a trap card thanks to the Angelechy engine)
9. Special Witness of the Ancients from hand and use its effect to set your Angelechy monsters to the back row and summon a token. (This is the point I mentioned in my write-up earlier where you can choose to set 2 or 3. Setting 2 allows you to go for a level 10 synchro and setting 3 allows you to go for a level 11. For this example, I am going for setting 3.)
(This guide assumes you shall set 3 Angelechy monsters: Shatranga, Bastion, and Destrier)
10. Chain 1: Activate Destrier's effect to add Angelechy Problem to hand; Chain 2: Activate Shatranga's effect to add Angelechy Disturbance to hand
(Pause: let's recap what you have available right now:)
- Your Field: Nullgainer, Witness, a lvl 3 token
- Your Backrow: Shatranga, Bastion, Destrier
- Your Hand: Diabellze the white witch, Diabellstar Vengeance, Angelechy Disturbance, Angelechy Problem, and 3 cards from opening hand
11. Special Summon Diabellze the White Witch from hand by pitching Angelechy Disturbance to the GY. Activate Diabellze's effect to send Curse of the Diabel to the GY.
12. Activate Curse of the Diabel's effect to add Filia Diabel to hand (Note: yes, you already have Diabellstar Vengeance in hand who is the usual search target; however, this card is usefull since it will be used as cost for Angelechy Problem)
13. Synchro summon your level 11 using Witness and its token (either Psychic End Punisher or Juraishin)
14. Activate Silvy's effect in GY to shuffle Rciela back to the extra deck and speciall summon itself to the field.
15. Synchro summon Centurion Auxila using Silvy and Nullgainer (This will help protect your back row). If you decide to run a Centurion trap, use Auxila's effect to add it to hand
16. Activate Angelechy Problem from hand
17. Send Filia Diabel to the GY for cost to activate Angelechy Problem's effect summoning Angelechy Enlisted (the lvl 2 pawn) and setting another Angelechy to your backrow (Destrier for burning your opponent more or Bastion to better protect your Shatranga floodgate)
18. Summon Diabellstar Vengeance from hand by banishing Filia Diabel and Curse of the Diabel from GY. You can activate Filia Diabel's effect to boost Diabellze and Diabellstar Vengeance by 500 atk.
19. Activate Angelechy Disturbance in GY to add Angelechy Opening to E4 to hand. Decide whether to set it or the Centurion trap added by Auxila
The End
Let's review your board:
Your Field:
1. lvl 11 Synchro: Juraishin (QE destroy all monsters or spell/traps) or Psyhcic End Punisher (towers after using Diabellstar Vengeance)
2. Centurion Auxila (protects your Angelechy backrow from destruction)
3. Diabellstar Vengeance (QE destroy an opponent's card and summon a synchro tuner from the Extra Deck. The usual target is Poplar to tag into Snake Eyes Vengeance Dragon for another disruption, but you can also choose Silvera to book of moon your opponents board)
4. Diabellze the White Witch (protects all monsters you control from destruction while you have 2 Diabel monsters on the field)
5. Angelechy Enlisted (banishing removal on your turn that tags out to another Angelechy, but just a body on your opponent's turn. Can use it to synchro into Chaos Angel using it and Diabellze the White Witch if you'd prefer.)
Your Backrow:
1. Shatranga (limits your opponent to 5 monster effect activation attempts)
2. Bastion (protects your other Angelechy backrow from destruction)
3 & 4. Destrier (burns your opponent for a total of 1000 LP for each time they activate an effect)
5. Your choice of Centurion Phalanx to banish an opponent's monster and have follow up if Auxila is removed, Centurion the Awakening for an omni-negate (at the cost of one of your Destrier), or Opening to E4 for Angelechy follow up (if chose this, you may want to add another Shatranga to the extra deck)
Your Hand:
- Whichever trap you decided not to play between the Centurion options and Opening to E4
- 3 random cards from your opening hand
Side Deck Notes:
- Diabellze to counter Sky Striker
- Black-Winged Assault Dragon is an alternative for going for Auxila. Your board is less protected, but you burn your opponent for 1700 each time they activate a monster effect. This means they can only activate 5 monster effects before they lose.
- Psychic End Punisher is an alternative to Juraishin. While it is less proactive, it plays well with Diabellstar Vengeance since it's QE pop costs half your LP, meaning PEP's towers effect is easier to activate.
-You can also run Ultimaya Tzolkin + Zalen/Crystal Wing. You would use Nullgainer's effect to revive Witness after going for the 11 synchro. I'd prefer Zalen over Crystal Wing because you can at least summon Zalen with Diabell Queen.
I hope this guide was useful and informative. Enjoy the deck.
