Power: Low Rogue (6.6/10) - Stronger and fully TCG-legal, but still Low Rogue because the Cocoon, Parasite, Great Moth, and Insect Queen package costs space that a pure insect combo deck would spend on more compact starters or blowout cards.

Consistency: Solid. Sting, Pin, Twinbow, Arbalest, Primitive Butterfly, One for One, and Insect Imitation give the deck enough bodies to reach Battlewasp Synchros or Picofalena. Reducing Called by the Grave to one was required for TCG legality, so the extra Butterfly bodies help keep hands moving.

Ceiling: Respectable. Hama can close games quickly, Ballista and Azusa add burn pressure, Picofalena fixes insect hands, and Cocoon of Ultra Evolution can tag Parasite Paranoid lines into Metamorphosed Insect Queen or Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth.

Recovery: Moderate. Arbalest revives Battlewasps, Battlewasp - Nest replaces destroyed insects, Cocoon can recycle from the GY, and Monster Reborn gives one strong comeback push. The deck can grind casual tables, but it does not rebuild as cleanly as true top rogue engines.

Going first/second: Slightly better going second. It wants to swarm, Synchro, and pressure with Hama, while Ash, Impermanence, and Nest cover first-turn interaction. Side deck plans include Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, Nibiru, Gadarla, Twin Twisters, Droll, and Pankratops.

Choke points: Stop Sting the Poison before it searches, interrupt Insect Imitation or Picofalena, banish Resonance Insect before it converts into a boss search, remove Parasite Paranoid before Cocoon resolves, or clear Battlewasp - Nest before it can protect or reload.

Insect Imitation can convert a used insect body into the next level of engine access. Parasite Paranoid plus Cocoon turns a Weevil-style equip/control line into Insect Queen or Great Moth. Hama plus Azusa pressure can convert chip damage and burn into a quick finish.
