Viral God in a Land of Darkness

A Slifer deck built around a combination of the Lair of Darkness and Virus traps.

It is designed to be quite affordable. The most pricey cards of the deck are Lord of the Heavenly Prison and Leviair the Sea Dragon .

Main Mechanic

The main mechanic of this deck consists in destroying your opponent's useful cards (spells and monsters) and bringing Slifer the Sky Dragon out from the grave with The Revived Sky God and waging a powerful direct attack with a hand full of cards.

Use Lair of Darkness and tribute you opponent's monsters to activate your virus cards such as Eradicator Epidemic Virus.

Combos

Activate The Revived Sky God with the Virus effects active during the end phase of your opponent to prevent them from filling their hand, and to draw up to 6 cards. When Slifer goes to your grave, banish The Revived Sky God to add Monster Reborn to your hand. Next turn, revive Slifer using Monster Reborn to attack with a whooping 7000 ATK. Thunderforce Attack can clear the field anytime, letting your opponent wide open for an attack.

If you send Slifer to the grave with Peaceful Burial and special summon it with The Revived Sky God in the same turn, Slifer will stay on the field by the end of the turn since Peaceful Burial prevents it from activating its effects (but it does not negate them, so Slifer will still have 6000 ATK)

Absolute King Back Jack is useful for setting more trap cards and controlling the top of your deck. Bring it out with One for One and send it to the grave with Linkuriboh. Place a trap on top of your deck and set it during your opponent's turn by Back Jack's effect. It can be activated right away. Absolute King Back Jack can be recycled with Leviair the Sea Dragon.

Summon Tour Guide From the Underworld and bring out Sangan, to link summon Beat Cop from the Underworld. With her ability and Lair of Darkness on the field, you can tribute an opponent's monster to set a patrol counter on your field spell, thus protecting it. Tour Guide can also be used to bring out Leviair the Sea Dragon.

Dark Sacrifice can protect your cards from destruction and send Absolute King Back Jack to the grave, thus triggering its effect.

Lord of the Heavenly Prison also protects your set traps, and helps setting more traps while being a tribute target for Grinning Grave Virus. You can also use it to XYZ summon a rank 10 monster such as Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max and start dealing some damage.

Ahrima, the Wicked Warden's ability allows you to search for the LoD, and can also bring out your Lord of the Heavenly Prison.

The ladies of lament such as Lilith, Lady of Lament are here for further trap support while feeding the LoD mechanic for more tokens. Tokens can then be used a link materials.

Every normal trap in the deck have at least one copy to work with Trap Trick. Trap trick gets you the trap you need and allows you to activate it right away.

Other Possibilities

Kuribandit can be used to fill your graveyard by tributing itself, adding a spell or trap card to your hand and possibly sending Absolute King Back Jack or Slifer the Sky Dragon to your grave. It'll leave a token behind if LoD is active.

Tour Bus From the Underworld can be used together with Tour Guide to annoy decks relying on sending specific cards in their grave.

Card Destruction can send your egyptian god or absolute king back jack from the hand to the grave.

Horn of Heaven works well with LoD since it negates a summoning by tributing one monster.

Chaos Burst is here to destroy monsters and deal damage.

Darklight can wipe out your opponent's field.

Dark Spirit Art - Greed can help you draw and can't get negated if you destroyed your opponent's spell cards with Eradicator Epidemic Virus.

Another option is to add Heavy Storm Duster in your deck to destroy annoying field spells or traps that would lock your game.

Note

This deck isn't fully optimized since I focused on making it affordable. The side deck could be improved, based on how much you are willing to spend and what you already have.
