Power: High Rogue (7.3/10) - This remains High Rogue because Magical Musketeer Max can convert one summon into a huge swing, while Ties of the Brethren gives the deck explosive going-first setups. It is not higher because the deck is still normal-summon reliant and can be punished hard by removal or negation on the first Musket body.
Consistency: Strong for a theme-first Musket list. Caspar, Starfire, Kidbrave, Doc, Calamity, and Wild give enough names for Max and Ties lines, while Pot of Duality digs for the missing half of the hand. Book of Moon replaces the brickier Zakiel slot as a live interaction spell that also triggers Musket columns.
Ceiling: High for non-meta play. Going second, Magical Musketeer Max can search multiple Musket spells/traps or summon multiple bodies depending on the opponent's board. Going first, Ties can establish several Musketeers so every Musket spell or trap becomes both interaction and advantage.
Recovery: Good once a Musket sticks. Doc recovers spent Musket cards, Wild recycles resources and draws, Calamity revives a Musket, and Max refills the hand when the opponent commits cards. The deck struggles most when the first normal summon is removed before a Musket card can be activated.
Going first/second: Flexible. Going first, prioritize Ties of the Brethren, Caspar, Starfire, Last Stand, Desperado, Infinite Impermanence, and Book of Moon. Going second, Max, Cross-Domination, Desperado, Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, Nibiru, Cosmic Cyclone, and Pankratops help break boards.
Choke points: Remove or negate the first Magical Musketeer before its column effect resolves, stop Max from resolving, or force Ties of the Brethren before the deck has protection. Backrow removal is strongest when it clears Last Stand or Desperado before the Musket player can chain them from hand.
Key cards: Magical Musketeer Max, Magical Musketeer Caspar, Magical Musketeer Starfire, Magical Musketeer Kidbrave, Magical Musketeer Doc, Ties of the Brethren, Cross-Domination, Desperado, Last Stand, Dancing Needle, Book of Moon, Infinite Impermanence.
Key combos: Caspar plus any Musket spell/trap searches the missing interaction. Starfire plus a Musket card summons the right name from deck. Ties turns one Level 3 or Level 4 Musket into a multi-body control board. Max searches Musket cards when the opponent controls monsters, or summons Musketeers when they control backrow. Book of Moon, Impermanence, Cross-Domination, Desperado, and Last Stand can all trigger column effects while disrupting the opponent.
